Intel Mac mini: disassembled
Yeah,
yeah, we think the new Mac mini's
about as boring as you do -- it's just
the same thing but with an Intel chip -- we get it. But the one thing it's a little good for, if you're so inclined, is
a peep at how different its innards look when it's disemboweled and laid bare for all to see. Macworld took a little of
the heat and posted some nakey pics of your favorite bite-sized Mac desktop made Intel, so we'll stop staring, move
along now, and leave it at that.

I believe you can update this entire post to include the information on how this other guy managed to take out the 1.5GHz core solo processor in the $599 Mac Mini and put in the 2.16GHz core duo processor.

Matt, why do you think this is photoshop? It doesn't look like photomontage.
it's not boring BECAUSE the graphics chipset does HD natively. that makes it cool.
Here are some more photos on the Japanese site "PC Watch."

Not too sure what you guys expected from the mini rev. All I heard a year ago was how the mini would make a great HTPC and they added several features to make it one. If you expected them to add a TV tuner, you don't understand business.
I agree Steve. Looks great for what I'd use it for.
Sucks that they kept the case as being difficult to open. I'm not thrilled about the 2.5" HD but that was expected. 2 ram slots (sodimms) is a nice improvement.
