Sanyo's weather-resistant LCD TV
Nope, despite Sanyo's
claims, their new 32-inch weather-resistant LCD TV isn't actually the first of its kind, though
it may be one of the first of a suitable size from a major display manufacturer. We don't yet have a model number,
specs and resolution, release date, or price, but we do understand it's got a 176 degree viewing angle and high
brightness, which we hope would be coupled with a nice anti-glare coating on that screen to make it easily viewable on
those sunnier days when it's not getting all rained on.

I suppose this won't come out in Britain...
With the horrible "snowing in March" weather...would the LCD take freezing?
Wrong.
SunBrite have been making these for a while

They are fairly high end though so I am sure a lot havent heard of them.
I cant imagine this being able support the climate anywhere in the Northern US.
What we need is a bulletproof TV for the Elvis in all of us.
The one thing I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet:
Why?
It doesn't rain much in my den, and I'm not keen on dragging my telly out wif me. That's what they make those little multimedia-handheld units for, right?
Ya know, I'm with you fellow poster - is there really a market for weather-resistant TVs? Especially ones that need to be PLUGGED in. Duh.
Now all we need is a weather-resistant recliner! He Haw!

Why? Because some people have backyards in which they'd like to be able to watch tv, and not on a little screen. I've been keeping an eye out for something like this that's affordable with some decent size to it. This looks like it would easily be more expensive than what I'm looking for, but still... I watch a lot of sports and I want to be able to do it out back by the water. Not unreasonable.
