BeoCom 2 -- the second coming

Bang & Olufsen is partying it up in celebration of their 80 years of existence, and what better way to usher in a ninth decade of being too cool for school than with what could be quite possibly the oddest phone known to man? That's right, the BeoCom 2 cordless phone is making a comeback for an anniversary run of 600 units -- 300 plain and 300 with some strange faux-wood pattern etched into the phone -- of which four sets will make it past mere conversation piece status to be functionally installed into houses of the rich and famous. The odds would say there might even be one unsuspecting unit subjected to the travails of an actual conversation, be we don't want to push it.
