Samsung's new CTV-32Z30 32-inch CRT
We're not
exactly following why Samsung, exalted ruler of Plasmas and LCDs, is busting out HD CRTs, but hey, go where the market
is, right? Granted, their new 32-inch CTV-32Z30 is indeed thinner than your average CRT, and comes with HDMI, SCART,
and S-Video, but when you have to lay down £350 (about $600 US) to get one, you're really not too far off in
price from a real 32-inch LCD.

Just called PRC and they dont have a date yet for this TV. It's still on their 'coming soon' list according to the chap I spoke to.
Well,
Wide Screen TV's will become popular for the next upcoming years. It will replace conventional 4:3 ratio TV's that rules for almost 40 years. Don't hesitate ti pick Wide Screen type, if you plan to buy a new TV set. Don't worry, if your local station or your local cable still presenting in 4:3 format, it will change for the next few years. In the mean time, you can watch your favorite movies in DVD in their original format. If you a diehards fans of CRT TV's type, This Samsung WS32Z30 is a reasonable and valued choice. The price is around US $ 1.000. You can't buy a LCD 32" TV with the price, maybe an exception for China products (I found a very cheap LCD 32-inch TV, from AKIRA for only US $ 700 !!!, but the quality ? Who knows...)
an HD tv showing HD is Great but HD showing standard def is poor,so as it will be 5 years plus before HD takes over standard def transmision -the CRT option is on the money.See HD and standard def to the max. As we replace our tv about every 5 years that will be the time to get flat.
LCD - Plasma no....DLP rocks.
top marks Samsung leading from the front.

£449.99 for the 32" it has HDMI, and component, and 2 SCARTS, oh and front AV. It looks damn fine, and I have found information on other sites that state it displays 1080i. I think I may be purchasing;)
I am looking for a CRT TV and picked up on this thread.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have been told that the reason that TV stores only display flat screen TVs now is that the picture quality can not stand up to a CRT. Thus, if the store had demo models of flat and CRT TVs side by side, nobody would buy the flat one.
Am I informed correctly?
