LG gets so Emotional for LCDs
Nothing like a bit of superfluous product naming to start the day off right, but maybe it's for good reason,
because the specs on LG's new "Emotional" series of LCD
monitors nearly bring a tear to our eye. With contrast ratios at 1600:1, 4ms response times, and a depth of 0.7-inches,
there's plenty here to get emotional about. The LCDs are a follow up to their LG's premium LX40 series, and they will
offer varying stand and color options, but there's no word on sizes, prices, or availability.

Those specs are pretty mouthwatering. Except for one thing. It looks to me like the screen has a 1:1 size ratio O_o
I'm new to your website but enjoyed reading the articles referring to cell phone use by the elderly and the importance of offering a range of phone features to all consumers.
Among the things not mentioned in all the comments is the power of using of a cell phone's visual imagery and calling features as powerful communication tools.
Please look at the FYI announcement I posted on this potential: www.visioncorner.net
1:1 size ratio is to watch two HD widescreen movies at the same time!
Yes, that ratio is off-putting from the moment you lay eyes on it. What happened to widescreen, anyone?
Does it come with a complimentary pair of tight black jeans and an ironic t-shirt and only display MySpace sites?
Ratio I'm sure is 4 to 3, picture might be a little misleading, as well, I prefer 4:3 for gaming, widescreen is just too wide.
Does anyone know if these will be any good for graphics?
I tried a samsung monitor last year which had a low response time + high contrast ratio and it was frankly rubbish. The backlight was darker at the top than the bottom, meaning you couldnt tell how saturated/washed out colours actually were. I got it swapped for new monitor which had exactly the same problem - after calling tech support I was told it was a trade off for the low response time. Sent it back, got a refund, went back to my crt.
Can anyone reccomend a good lcd monitor for graphics work?
Hey Trey, have you taken a look at the Samsung 970P? I do graphics work myself and was looking for one that didnt cost $1600 like the Eizo models, in reviews it came within mere points away in color repoduction to those professional graphics models, has no backlight leakage, 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 6ms response time. I am actuall yplanning to pick one up myself when i get the money. Hope that helps.
nice specs... plus the LCD actually looks sexy unlike most of the boxy unastheticly pleasing lcd monitors from a lot of the other manufacturers... as far as widescreen goes .. i'd imagine this is a whole line of LCD's .. maybe there is a widescreen not shown.
besides .. why the heck does everything need to be widescreen? is there any logic there. For work .. i like a bigger screen overall not just a wider one. I want be able to have as many things on my screen as I can at once.
Cheers Thwiipp! Ill check it out. Yeah and Eizo monitor would be nice if I was stinking rich :) one day maybe.
