Griffin launches iPSP accessories
So Griffin's branching out to making peripherals that aren't for
Apple products or based on generic standards, eh? We're down with their new $50 iFM PSP radio tuner / remote, $50 iTrip PSPradio transmitter, and $15 SmartShare PSP headphone
splitter, don't get us wrong, but wouldn't it make more sense to call the first two pFM and pTrip, respectively?
Just a thought. Do your thing, Griffin, just go ahead.

. . . Pee Trip.
I think they won't call it that.

Haha pee trip...that's good. Why is the background of the PSP look like the Apple stock desktop image (albiet cropped)?
Raiden @ Mar 16th 2006 11:21AM
All they need now is some white accessories for the white PSPs... if only the apple stuck work... then they could lower production costs.. :)

I told you to go before we left!!

Finally a radio for the psp (other than modding the software to be one)! The price is ridiculously expensive though :(

I have all sorts of griffin products for my iPod. I'm all excited now to see what kind of products they will come up with for my PSP. Rock!

I think by calling it the pTrip they would be admitting to Apple that they were ripping off their iPod "i", which may or may not be illegal, I don't know.. but atleast they're keeping some dignity, and also keeping their brand name familiar.

iHate iThis iNaming iConvention. It's worse than the eNaming eConvention of the ePast.
That aside, it's cool to see some well integrated PSP peripherals from a 3rd party.

I agree with the whole iThing. Gotten old pretty fast...

Is there a keyboard attachment for it?
How about PIM apps?
heck, if someone comes up with a leather/canvas bag/cover with built-in keyboard via BT or USB or something, this can become a UMPC killer yes?

I knew I should not have driven over 88 in my Delorean
today. I've seen the FM transmitter for the PSP a
few weeks back, from a company called Intec.
A link for the device is at

Comes with a cup-holder adapter too.

Is iTrip any good? (for those who used it in their i-pods I mean)... are griffin products any good?
Scrumshus @ Mar 17th 2006 5:17PM
Excuse me, but is it just me these days or is everyone copying Apple's trademarks lately? Let's see, oh, the iFM, and iTrip, and is that the Mac OS X Tiger default desktop I see on the PSP?
