Clarion's MAX960HD in-car entertainment system
Clarion has announced a new in-car multimedia head unit for Japan that plays just about every format out there,
even the ones that are
all but dead. The MAX960HD is DVD/CD player with 7-inch touchscreen that also features AM/FM (duh), some kind of TV
receiver, and MP3/WMA playback via the SD and MemoryStick slots. As if that weren't enough swag to keep you occupied,
this entertainment system will also let you play all those MiniDiscs you have lying around, and even sports a hard
drive for recording OTA radio broadcasts. These will be available for further-pimping your Scion or Civic on the
"first third of June" (thanks, Google) for around $2350.[Via Navigadget]

Wrong, it's not only a 2Din 7" lcd entertainment system, it have also integrated in the unit (it's good because almost all car navigation system are separated from the display unit, usually located under a seat or inside a compartiment) a new generation HDD navigation system with 40gb HD with Windows Automotive 5.0 that thanks to the integrated discrete video chipset can render a real 3d view (with hills, mountains , and buildings thanks to the accurate mapping of japanese territory) and at the same time a 2d or the old "3d view".It also feature voice reconaissance and voice synt (text-to-speech)good as tomtom's 910 one.
