I'll be excited when they add this for the HR10-250.

Of course, purists such as myself will always refer to Slingbox as "photocopying the book of Orb". After all, with Orb, you don't need a Tivo.

TiVoAnywhere and DVR Everywhere are one and the same. Go to www.tivoanywhere.com and you are redirected to www.dvreverywhere.com. I don't TiVo cared for Orb using the TiVo name so they changed it back in November.

"Basically you'll get the same easy-to-use no firewall adjustments necessary Orb experience steamed to your laptop"
Won't the steam damage the sensitive componenets inside the laptop?

Nothing really new here, these features have been available for awhile... I imagine Orb put out the press release to piggy back on recent positive TiVo press. The
TiVo scheduling portion requires giving up your TiVo.com login info to Orb which doesn't sit well with me - same credentials to access my account, address, partial credit card, etc.

I agree with Zatz's comments -- I just installed DVR Anywhere today (only just learned about Orb last night) and I have to say it's quite impressive so far. But I can live without the "program your DVR through orb.com" capability, so I didn't supply those credentials. If I need to program my TiVo over the web, I can ... uh ... just go to tivo.com! No need to add another layer in there and put my login at risk.

This would be great news for me if I weren't stuck in DirecTV/TiVo limbo. I wish that DirecTV would crap or get off the pot. Either dump TiVo NOW and replace our boxes with something equivelent or let us upgrade the software!

@kbiel --
I wouldn't count on any playing nice between TiVo and DirecTV anytime soon. Saw this just the other day, kind of sounds like DirecTV would much rather have their own DVR than be reselling TiVo's ....

I've been using orb for about 2 months now and I couldn't be happier. anyone out there looking to have your media wherever will be hard to find a complaint with the service. I agree with everyone about the programming nonsence, but you don't even need that option... I use a MCE system running orb and can watch or listen to anything i want with my Sprint 6700 in my car on their evdo network. I'll never need another SD or CF card again. Just use the media center's recording over the web options and not orb's just like people use tivo.com instead, all u really need is the folder available at my.orb.com If anyone is thinking about orb i say run with it, the features can only get better with time, that and i'm sure microsoft will have this stolen and doing it themselves within a year.
enjoy your media savages.
