MSI D310 portable media player with built-in DVB-T receiver
We've seen quite a few portable media players with built in digital receivers. Unfortunately (for those of us
on this side of the Pacific, that is), most are DMB models designed
for use in Korea. However, MSI is now rolling out the D310, a PMP with a Freeview receiver, which means that it'll work
anywhere that uses DVB-T for digital broadcasting. That covers much of Europe, Australia and parts of Asia and South
America. As usual, North Americans will have to sit this one out. In addition to a DVB-T receiver, the D310 includes a
4.2-inch display, SD card slot, and compatibility with MPEG-4 video and MP3 audio files.

MSI D310 pocket tv is not working in the Philippines. Hope this will work as early as posible...
I wish I could watch Doctor Who on something like this. In the park or somewhere.
I don't think that Europe is really on any "side of the Pacific" other than the opposite side... since it's a ball. If anything Europe is on the same side of the Pacific as Korea, when compared to the USA.
Just out of curiousity, could someone please explain to me why the US is such a laggard in consumer technology compared to more "advanced" countries like Korea (!)?
Thanks
what a crappy paste job for the "msi"
I'd have to see the screen in person before I ever buy an MSI portable player again. I had the Megaview 865 and the screen was so bad you could visibly see the pixels that make up every part of the screen.
As long as nobody ever makes a device whose case *looks* like that, ever again, like EVER, it's okay. The 80s were probably a fun decade (for those who were already deceased by that time) but nobody wants to be reminded of the industrial design it spawned.
Look! Red, green and blue pill shapes! ON A SLANT! That'll let people know that it's got a colour screen, lest they have to actually look 1" upwards to figure it out. Okay, I'm done bitching. :)
It might be difficult to align the antenna
Many props to seeing *Doctor Who* in the shot on that portable. Season/Series 2's first episode "New Earth" was really good with David Tennant in the title role, seen pictured with the Face of Boe.
What was really interesting was seeing clips of the show in Korean and Japanese dubbing that were shown during the *Confidential* behind-the-scenes episode...
Can't wait to officially see the new (as in Season 2) episodes on the SciFi Channel...
Too bad the eps weren't available officially through iTunes, although that wouldn't benefit this particular player...
