Remember The Boy Genius, the dude who
scored those CDMA Q shots way back in the
year 2005? He's back, and hooked us up with some shots of
Motorola's
Canary, what we understand to be the true successor to the
RAZR. Contrary to prior reports that this thing would run Windows
Mobile, you can plainly see that it doesn't; we understand it uses the same software build as the RAZR
V3x, which might imply it's a UMTS device as well. A second
trustworthy source let us know that the device would pack a 2 megapixel camera, and would be positioned as Moto's new
flagship phone due for Q4 2006 or Q1 2007 launch, which jibes with everything else we've been hearing, and starts to
pull this picture together. More pics after the break!
P.S. It's worth noting, as we're told, that this
phone is more or less just as thin as the original RAZR, just not as wide. And that's supposedly not a plastic
exterior, but a soft-touch finish and aluminum detailing.
Nice looking phone - but, they should make a Man-version that has a steel-grate surface to it. Please recess those (@#*&@) buttons on the side - or GET RID OF THEM. I can't count how many calls I've missed because the ringtype button on the side of my phone was accidentally pressed and changed to "low" or "vibrate" - unbeknowingst to me.
I agree with Zack (above) "Thin, small, sturdy, good screen, snappy interface, Bluetooth, external screen and no camera.". I don't need a replacement for my home or auto stereo - and I don't need a ticker-tape readout every second of the day. I guess me need categories of phones - Man-phone-basic, Man-phone-deluxe, Ladies-phone-slender-basic, Ladies-phone-cute-deluxe, and then of course - the YoungAdult-phone-gadgetmania-deluxe
There you have it, my friends at Motorola - listen-up!
The razr phone is a beautiful mechanical design; but it has a functionality problem (sound quality sucks), and a total software anurism of an operating system. Actually, the biggest problem I had with it was IT IS DANGEROUS!!! In my pocket the outer lens broke and filled my pocket with shards of SUPER SHARP GLASS!!!! Please guys....go back to the drawing board!
the phone is cool, but they need a new color for it because blue isnt working for it.
I agree, "Thin, small, sturdy, good screen, snappy interface, Bluetooth, external screen and no camera." I do not need all the useless features. I have high quality devices that take care of digital photos and video production. I just need a phone that works dependably is thin and therefore convenient, has a long battery life (very important), and is loud enough for me to hear the other person talking!
If MOT got rid of the frills they could improve the functionality without givingup the sleek style.
The new phone looks very nice but again I hope they adress all the issues above. I know they will not hoever since the trend seems to be do everything phones. Even if it means at lower quality for all the individual tasks.
looks like crap compared to the original razr, the old one in my opinion looked much better. i think that should have been the original razr and the successor should be the normal razr i love.
ummmmmmmmmm...forget the RAZR. The PEBL is a much more sophisticated phone without all the RAZR hype.
젠장 ㅋㅋ
too many slightly sexist comments for one page
I think this Moto is not much of a change in design from all the RaZR, I just hope for Motorola that now their phones will works better! For me it's a synonnym of Sh...
Dude isn't that just a krazr k1? i'm pretty sure it's just a krazr
That's what I was thinking, and couldn't figure out why no one had mentioned it.
This is a picture of the Moto Krzr, not the new Razr.
I was starting to think i was going nuts!
hello
why not motorla company inhanced (develop) the resolution of the cellphons camera to 3 mega pixle?
