Engadget Podcast 077 - 05.02.06
It's our last
pre-E3 podcast today, which means there's sure to be a little gaming news from Nintendo mixed in there for you to chew
on, along with some Samsung Q1 UMPC goings on, our take on (and support of) Gary Shapiro and the CEA driving a stake in
the ground for disenfranchised digital consumers everywhere, and some interesting news in the DVR space from TiVo and
Yahoo. We'll take our usual cellphone related voicemails too (we can talk about other stuff -- promise), so listen up
before the Engadget Podcast hits the mean streets of LA next week to play some games.

Requesting XML feed of the enhanced ACC version...
Steve @ May 2nd 2006 2:43PM
A separate feed for the enhanced ACC version would be nice.
ipodman @ May 2nd 2006 3:30PM
Feed for AAC please. :)
Ryan Block @ May 2nd 2006 3:31PM
We hear your requests guys, but due to technical limitations we can't get the enhanced AAC running just yet. We're working on it!
Best, Ryan

I am looking for software to download to my computer so that I can put pictures from my camera onto my computer. My computer cannot receive a disk which is why I am attempting this rout.
Conrad Quilty-Harper @ May 2nd 2006 4:47PM
Ryan, while you're at it, get Peter to post his picture of those kids jumping on an iMac. ;)
Ryan Block @ May 2nd 2006 5:00PM
Don't remember this?

My interest is in the WiFi SD card. I think they should look beyond relying on manufacturers for support. They should be thinking about making the WiFi on the card independent, having not to rely on an OS or driver support. They should be thinking about a card that does a webserver interface. Maybe go the open source route with a new protocol, or use Microsofts SMB. Just think about this, Someday a piece of hardware the size of a postage stamp will have network connectivity. Doesn't that make you think real hard about the next five years?

Hey guys, love the show.
One request. I use ZENcast Organizer as my aggregator, and your podcast is the only one that does not sort correctly by the "release date". All of the podcasts have a release date of 1/1/2002 which messes with my sync. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Pogle @ May 3rd 2006 12:37PM
I'm trying to get the RSS feed working on my PSP and it simply says "There is no item". I've got numerous other feeds working, not sure if its me or you.
Using 2.70 on the PSP.
Ryanrk @ May 3rd 2006 12:52PM
Haha, you guys totally mispronounce Willamette Industries in Portland in the podcast.
JT @ May 5th 2006 8:16AM
I really enjoy the podcast, but could you stop using the expression "like", 'like'
every 10 seconds?

I'm trying to download to my PSP and am having the same problem as Pogle in comment #11 -- "There is no item." Running 2.70 firmware.
