MobiBlu Cube 2 gets specs, pricing
Diminutive DAP manufacturer MobiBlu has just released the specs for their latest miniature wonder, the 24 x 24 x 24-millimeter Cube 2, which improves upon its predecessor by letting you view photos on a thumbnail-sized, 64 x 48 pixel OLED display. Unfortunately for our love of machine translation, the Korean Cube 2 website lumped all the specs into an un-translatable image, but the sprinkling of English words indicate that there's not much more to this model than we already knew. Coming in 512MB and 1GB flavors, the 18-gram player features MP3, WMA, and OGG music file support, direct recording from the FM tuner, crossfading between tracks, USB mass storage capabilities, and the obligatory digital equalizer settings, plus the ability to hang it from your ear. Pricing is set at $154 and $192 for the half- and full-gig versions, respectively, but there's no word yet on when we'll be seeing this new model 'round these parts.[Via DAPreview]

I can get the 2GB older model (same physical dimentions) for less than $150.
Screw the tiny OLED screeen - its useless in daylight settings.
Wal-Mart'it!
I guess that whole 'blacklist' issue with DAPReview really was an honest mistake.
Got the old Cube and the only complaint I have is that it could be not so cubic - uncomfortable when it is in a pocket (thought it is meant to be worn on a neck)
C'mon Engadget, you guys are a professional news source. You guys don't know a single person who speaks Korean? I know about 30 and I'm in high school. You should at least have people who can readily translate Korean, Chinese, Spanish and Japanese for your readers.
wearing it on the ear just looks ridiculous... at least as a bracelet or something makes more sense as an accessory item...bleh...
Convenient for women with purses. I can't imagine having it your pocket.
I think they've made it too small. I'd lose mine in a week!
I got the old one, I accidentally dropped it getting out of my car, found it a few hours later, not as a cube but as a pancake. I got a replacement so it's all good.
but the new one really doesn;t bring anything new besides ogg support, whichwould be nice for me, but even then you could just make the ogg files into mp3s. But then again, what more can you add to such a tiny device. I'd like to see Linux running on it...
I have a cube. I got it from a friend that bought it in New York. I live in Canada and i don't have a USB to charge the thing. Does anyone know where i can get one?
