And when you can make a BluRay or HDDVD copy through your BluRay/HDDVD combo burner, you won't need HDCP. You can enjoy all 1080P goodness through normal component wires.
The HDCP thing was the same thing people were saying about DVD's when they took over for VHS. They said, VHS is too easy to copy, you just put a little paper in the lock slot, DVD will have much better protection.
