According to Nokia, counterfeiting has been on the rise, with thousands of handsets recently confiscated in Finland alone. The step-up in enforcement comes just as Nokia has been awarded $1.36 million in damages by a Florida court in a lawsuit against Suplimet Corp. and Hermann Lozano for trafficking in counterfeit Nokia products. Hermann and his brother Xavier were also sentanced to 72 months in jail. Let that be a lesson to you, fake-phone-makers of the world, Nokia comintagetcha.
