Viewsonic updates LCDs with HDMI
It's hard for us to agree with Viewsonic calling their LCDs "future proof" when we look at the spec list and don't see things like 1080p or HDMI 1.3 mentioned, but that doesn't make these 27- and 32-inch screens all bad. 1366x768 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 10-watt stereo speakers and 8ms refresh rate are decent numbers but not mind blowing. The N2751W has an estimated price of $799 while the N3251W is set at $999, although both are currently available and can be found for less.

How can they call it future proof if they don't even support 1920x1080 :(
#1 - what TV *does* have that resolution? :P
HDBeat - "Updates with HDMI" implies that previous models didn't have HDMI. I have the N3250W, which was released in late 2005, and it has HDMI. :)
I have one of the N2751W and it is so cool to play games on.
I also have the N3250W, but when I try to use an upconverting DVD player on the HDMI the image is Pink?
This does not happen with my cable box or on the component imputs. Anyone know whats up?
#2 - Plenty of TVs do. Where have you been?
Honestly now, what do they mean by "future proof"? There are already standard and devices out that output 1920x1080 resolution. It fails there. NOTHING outputs 1366x768 resolution, it's not a standard, and never will be. It fails there. Scaling is disgusting and should be the last resort of the truly desperate, but this TV forces you into the category of truly desperate.
What feature in this TV makes it future proof? I thought by saying "future proof" that it would maybe have something like a modular bay for different kinds of connectors developed in the future (you think HDMI is the end of it? No way) you could buy adapters for. But no... it has the connectors to provide for equipment that is firmly entrenched in the present. This TV cowers at the future and will not weather any change better than any other HDTV you could get right now.
I am also seeing Pink with Toshiba upconverting DVD player and ViewSonic 3250w LCD when using HDMI only. Is this a compatiblity issue? How about a fix to this problem?
