Samsung's SyncMaster 940MG-R 19-inch monitor/TV

The inexhaustible folks at Samsung just pumped out another 19-inch SyncMaster with the 940MG-R LCD/TV combo. This glossy, 1440 x 900 pup with 8-millisecond response slaps in an analog TV tuner for getting your boob on with a 700:1 contrast ratio and 160-degree visibility. Rounding things out are a couple of 3 watt speakers, headphone jack, and bevy of inputs including DVI-D (HDCP), D-Sub 15, SCART, and S-Video. Set to drop today in Japan for ¥79,800 or about $700.

Not exactly new. They shipped us one of these to Target when I worked there for the 360 launch. I wasn't that impressed with it. In my opinion, you're better off going with a 2007fpw, but alas, no TV tuner. But I really wasn't that impressed with the picture. The sound wasn't too bad though.

I got this monitor a few weeks ago, and love it. BArgain for the price. Picture is surprisingly good in my opinion. Bit slow changing between signal sources, but other than that, another fine product from Samsung.

Luv it. TV tuner and monitor in one desk.. well done PIP. Can't find any fault. Thanks to SyncMaster team who design this incomparable TV/Monitor, couldn,t get any more better than this price wise, quality and picture don't forget HD Ready.
