Intempo Digital's Buddy pink GPS
This one goes out to all the ladies and lovers of pink: feeling a little estranged by all the man-gadgets, or tiring of the unisex gray / black plastic or metal look? Intempo Digital's new Buddy (no, not the De La Soul kind of Buddy) is pink, and that's about it -- they're pretty shy with specs and any hard information on the unit, but from what we can tell, it does 2D and 3D maps, has the usual history and favorite locations, POIs, and is, um, pink. As you can probably tell, the selling point here is pink. Of course, we'd like to think the kinds of ladies who read Engadget wouldn't merely be wooed into buying anything due to its heteronormatively femmy color, but remember what a great gift the pink RAZR turned out to be, guys?

there's nothing wrong with pink. don't assume that girls who read this aren't also into fashion and all the other colors other than the mundane white, gray, and black.

They will still get lost and be late no matter what colour it is.

I agree with pinkpinkpink. Don't underestimate the power of pink - this UK site lists hundreds of pink gadgets (Pink toaster anyone?!):

They wouldn't do it if it didn't sell. Thank you Intempo for thinking pink (and Moto for starting it!).

Personally, I love pink! *blowing kisses at my beautiful pink Mobiblu Cube*
I wouldn't mind a pink portable music device but a pink phone? Features are more important. Hence, no pink RAZR for this chick.
If I was in the market for a GPS nav system and if Buddy met all my feature requirements, I'd definitely get it. ;-)

site says it was designed by the "simple" and "gorgeous" departments...ooooohhhhh sounds like a high spec piece of gadgetry and no messing.
