SODIFF shows off new QWERTY WiBro handheld
If the recent flurry of UMPCs and other such devices hasn't quite hit the sweet spot for your mobile lifestyle, SODIFF has a new WiBro device in the works with a 4.3-inch screen and a slide-out keyboard that just might do the trick. We're a bit low on deets, but while we don't know what kind of OS this thing'll run (there's a Windows key on the keyboard, for what it's worth), it does boast Internet browsing, instant messaging and email. Media capabilities are also here in force, with the included video conferencing, PMP functions, FM radio, 2 megapixel camera and IPTV. We're spotting at least SD expansion, but we don't expect too much more than WiBro connectivity with the slimness of this device -- though we'd love to be proved wrong. SODIFF is hoping for a November release, for Korea of course.

Screw QWERTY! All these devices with qwerty keypads are akin to using wooden wheels on a mazerati. It's like having a model T suspension on a viper. I think I could come up with a million analogies.
Hello.. this is a device from 2006 with a keyboard from 1880. I know this will start a flame war, but I won't be impressed until I see a device with a DVORAK keyboard. I don't even wanna hear about how everybody uses qwerty and it's the global standard. and all that. Maybe if you needed to type 'TYPEWRITER" in a hurry (look at the top row of your keyboard.. that's what it was designed for..)
You wanna talk about ergonomics? Try putting a letter other than J under your most powerful finger. Anyway. I'm outtz' I can't take this nonsense. Maybe the admins will censor me anyway.
that looks mighty nice...
Just close enough to a psion 5 to be appealing (o:
Assuming it has a touchscreen, of course.
looks like a prototype sidekick to me!
