Logitech introduced yet another member of its growing mouse army today, the V450 Laser Cordless Mouse, intended primarily for laptop users -- or people with really small hands, we suppose. Available in silver or black, the V450 looks to be a fairly run-of-the-mill laptop mouse, although it does promise an impressive one year of battery life on two AA batteries (we'll need to see that to believe it -- see you in 2007!). Logitech also says the mouse should be immune to delays and dropouts in even the busiest wireless environment thanks to its 2.4GHz micro receiver (see above skepticism, as certainly
no one else uses the 2.4GHz band). Look for this one early next month for $49.99 and, yes, it's both Mac and Windows compatible.

Hahah 2.4GHz was funny.
Still waiting for a bluetooth laser laptop mouth with back/forward buttons :-)

Maybe this'll lower the price of the Logitech V400 on eBay? Batteries I have, money that I want to spend for a tiny mouse, I don't.
Mice that don't have rechardable base stations should never rely on bluetooth for communication. Talk about a battery burn-out.

come one guys ... bring on the WiFi mice!!!

A differently styled V400 with no forward/back buttons? Just to look more refined? Why? The V400 does have same crazy wireless range though.

What's wrong with Bluetooth. I want a nice BT mouse with an on/off switch. I hate the dongles protruding from my notebook PC. I've bent several and think that I might have damaged my motherboard. There's already a nice integrated standard. Why not use it.

WiFi mouse? Lol... what would you have, WEP encryption? Have some person in the parking lot "hack" into your mouse? WiFi is so not suited to attach input devices !

What they really need to make is a new mouse to replace the G7. Why is there only 1 side button!?

Am I alone in not liking Logitech mice, and preferring Microsoft mice? For the desktop I have a MS Wireless Laser Mouse, and I just bought the notebook version for the iBook. Works great.

well i use a v200 and have so for a good 9 months now on the batteries that came in the package so im not seeing why this mouse couldnt do the same. the v200 is honestly the best wirless mini mouse ive ever used and im thinking about upgrading to this one since it looks a little nicer and more comfortable. but no really they do get extremely good batterylife

The driver of the USB transceiver is not recognized by Windows XP and is not on the installation CD. So this mouse does not work and no explanation from logitech.
