Kodak, Martha Stewart partner on product line
Now that America's favorite homemaker/inside trader is back to full steam following her brief incarceration, it seems that we may be in for another wave of branded products reminiscent of her previous assault on K-Mart shelves, as Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Kodak have just announced plans to jointly release a line of personalized photo swag. Available in late September from both companies' websites, the MSLO-designed lineup will include such exciting products as photo books, stationary, calendars, stickers, and occasion-specific cards that customers can slap their uploaded photos onto -- certainly nothing new, but now the process comes with Ms Stewart's coveted seal of approval. The multi-year agreement means that we can expect the customizable offerings to expand into other categories such as food and gardening, and it looks like Martha herself is quite confident that the venture will succeed, as she reportedly bulked up her portfolio with more Kodak and MSLO stock just hours before the deal was announced.

Apparently, there's a lot of time to think in prison. Unfortunately, it looks as though it might not exactly be quality thinking time. On the other hand, I'm sure there will be a rather large faction of housewives who still idolize Martha Stewart and can't wait to be the first ones to show off their new scrapbooks and frames to their coffee groups.

I am very happy that I chose to buy a Panasonic camera over the Kodak one. She is a slimey woman.

Umm. Wouldn't buying up more shares prior to a public announcement be insider trading? Engadget must have a very clever sense of humour, since I'm sure Martha now has a team of lawyers who go over every detail of every stock purchase or sell she even considers...
But, back to the point, this seems awesome for Kodak. Having a friendly face on those digital-camera-contraptions should help persuade at least one or two Desperate Housewives to make the megapixel leap.

Today is "Let's do million dollar deals with the criminal FKA Martha da Bitch". I can't stand this woman. for me, this is the SECOND news article today that i read about her latest deals.
It seems not only Kodak think she's hot property {Whatever the hell that means in business talk.} but Macy's aswell, as they have sign an exclusive deal to get all things Martha Stewart {The houseware junk previously sold at Kmart, remember?} Nationwide at Macy's.
According to Macy's spokesperson, Martha Stewart Housewares will expand to furniture, restaurants, rocket launchers and deadly nukes. {well, i added the last two.} But anyways enough of this foolishness!
She IS a ex-convict, corporations should not endorse or reward individuals like her with multi-million dollar deals. I'm sure running over her gardeners insulting and verbally attacking her staff with sharp kitchen utencils are Kodak moments worth capturing.
