NEC's LCD2070WNX 20-inch widescreen
Ah yes, yet another 20-inch widescreen display. Didn't NEC tell the peeps behind their new LCD2070WNX that 22-inch is totally what's in this season? Well, if you're not ready to graduate to the 24-incher (you know which one we're talking about), and don't mind a bit of corporate eye-soreness, NEC's latest Multisync features a USB 2.0 hub, height adjustment (unlike the LCD20WGX), NaViSet software controls, the usual 1680 x 1050 resolution, and Ambix, their oblique and unnecessary term for DVI, VGA, and composite inputs. You can expect to pick one up for $450 or less, which is -- like everything else about this monitor -- about on par.

If none of these 20+ inch widescreen monitors support HDCP, then they're pretty worthless if you want to view any hi-def content from a Blu-Ray or HD DVD once they start using the constraint token.

Please correct the "you know which one" link. It is a URL searching for 2407wfp instead of 2407fpw. I ordered my 2407fpw yesterday!

Don't worry about HDCP for now, it seems like it's not going to be a part of first gen Blu-ray or HD-DVD (see other articles on engadget for details). I bought a nice LCD/TV from Dell a couple years ago and it supports HDCP over DVI, which I needed to be able to watch HDTV from my cable box. HDCP has already been cracked though and you can get HDCP => regular DVI conversion boxes, so because of that and reasons above, you won't even need to do anything illegal for a while. By the time HDCP is a REAL requirement, most of us will have the ports.

Dell probably renamed their monitors. When they were announced, they used "WFP". Now, they seem to be using "FPW", just like their predecessors.
Hmm... strange....
On Dell's Home & Office site, they use "WFP", while on the Small Business site, they use "FPW".

Our techs are still trying to get a driver for the Multisync LCD 2070WNX. No luck so far. Still awaiting info from NEC.
