Hitachi's Prius One type S all-in-one PC
Yep, another all-in-one PC in white for ya here. This time, it's Hitachi's Prius One Type S (AW31S1R) PC which brings a 1.6GHz Celeron M 380 processor, a 17-inch LCD capable of 1280 x 1024 pixels, a maximum of 2GB RAM, Intel 910GML Express graphics, up to 320GB of disk, and a front-mounted slot-loading dual-layer DVD writer which makes good use of that 7.8-inch of depth. You also get 5 x USB 2.0 ports, a multi-format memory card slot, Firewire, modem, and outs for D-Sub 15 and S/PDIF. Yours for a steep, estimated starting price of ¥160,000 (or about $1,389) when these drop July 15th in Japan.

Prius?
Is it a hybrid computer with solar power?
Lowest emissions of any all-in-one PC?
Guess it would be environmentally as the article states the CPU is a whopping '1.6*M*Hz' (*'s added for emphasis) :)
All that jazz witha celeron processor? what a waste
The Mac haters are going to be paying a lot more for a lot less with that fancy Celeron M!
CPU is actually 1.6GHz
lol 1.6mhz good catch
Worst. computer. ever.
Good lord, that's horrid. You'd be better off with an iMac if you want an all-in-one package.
is it just me or does the aspect ratio of the screen look odd? looks square to me.
It looks like an iMac but designed by one of those budget far-east companies.
Oh wait, it is...
haha... so what, you get less than half the processor power, a puny graphics card, a few extra USB ports and a $8 memory card reader for the same price as an iMac that's much prettier and more powerful?
pretty lame. :
This might be something interesting if it were ...i dont know, $400? and maybe not so fugly? add some decent software for video editing and DVD burning? and maybe add a built in camera... throw in some bluetooth and maybe you have something! (or maybe you have just another crappy iMac knockoff.)
I wonder how much that'd costs if it were actually comparable to the iMac? starts to make iMac prices look pretty good! :)
Prius Type S computer?
I'm waiting for the Type R.
"7.8 inch depth"?? as in 3 times thicker than an iMac??? I'm confused...just buy an iMac
7.8" How did they get tit so thin?
Yeah!! awesome!
