when i first saw this i thought that to turn the thing off you had to pull the cord down to a certain length. it would be a better design, in my opinion, if it was a normal alarm clock, but the only way to turn it off was to pull down the cord. You could set it to different levels of resistance for young/old people, or for those people who really need to do something to wake up. It would kind of suck if you fell and broke your arm, and then couldnt turn the damn thing off for a while, but what are the odds of that?
