Minox is pushing beyond its usual boundaries once again with its new Volkswagen-designed DMP-3 media player, a follow-up to the
DMP-2 and
DMP-1 before it. As with its previous players, Minox is talking up the device's digital photo album and video playback capabilities as much as its MP3 functionality, although the smallish 2.5-inch LCD makes for less than ideal viewing conditions. On the storage tip, Minox has again opted for a paltry 128MB of internal memory, making the SD slot essential if you plan on using the device to capture VGA or QVGA video in MPEG-4. No word yet on pricing or availability, although if the previous model is any indication, it should come in somewhere around the $200 mark.
That interface looks familiar. More familiar than most.
Hmmm, familiar indeed!
Now who should sue Apple or Creative? ;-)
And they stole the body from my Timex travel alarm clock. Glad they made the Minox logo so big, I didn’t want people knowing I had money, though the Coby watch might have given that away.
Wait wait wait... $200 for 128 MB? You can't be serious. The nano is known to be on the "expensive" end and it's got 2 GB for $200. I really don't think video capabilities compensate for a missing 1800 MB.
$200 is to expensive.. better wait awhile to get other product that cheaper...
Why would you even try to market something these days with such a tiny amount of memory? Especially for 200 bucks??
Considering you can pick up a 1GB SD card for £15 now-a-days it isn't so bad. I'd rather have somthing expandable, frankly.

I think a 4gig SD card is a little over $100 right now. So for $300 total I get a 4 gig version of this? I dont understand. Who would want that? The screen is a little bigger than most but whats the point. Its butt ugly too. Good grief. This thing is horrible.
car designers make for ugly electronic devices...
The first thing I thought of when I saw that one is that the style looks suspiciously like they ripped it off from my Dell Axim X50v...
Mynoks? Chewin' on the power cables...
I can't see why companies can't make more hd based mp3 players to give ipod a run for the money, I don't feel like picking and choosing songs everyday, I want all 12000 on my mp3 player, and whatever I may have aquired the previous day.
