Samsung's Core 2 Duo-powered BZ60 desktop
With Intel formally rolling out its Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors today, we were expecting to see more new machines with these chips besides the Gateways we brought you earlier, and our friends over at Samsung did not disappoint. The Korean manufacturer has just announced a new desktop known as the BZ60, which rocks the 1.86GHz E6300 variety of Core 2 Duo, and also throws down nVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics, 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM, and a capacious 320GB SATA2 hard drive. As far as pricing and availability goes, well, we have no clue about the former, and the latter is rather inconsequential considering that this model will probably never make it stateside. Stay tuned, because new dual-core models -- ones that you will be able to purchase -- should be coming at a fast and furious pace in the coming hours and days...

FIRST POST! Students got screwed by the release of the Core 2 duo. Its too late to purchase a computer for school with one in it. It also is too early for the release of laptops with the Core 2. Intel's timing blows... they lost all the computer nerds heading to college this year.
Yawn
Mid range processor, low end graphics, uninspired design and unavailable in this market.
This post is a complete waste of pixels

Please stop telling us about lame products that will never make it to the US. If they are supercool products that will never make it to the US, that is okay. Otherwise, you are just wasting our time. Mine anyway.
Agreed, the least they could've done was got a good looking model...
You can order the Dell XPS 700 with up to a Core 2 Duo X6800:

Whats the problem to know the news from the other side of the planet? I like to know what happens there.
But I agreeg with one thing; its really uninspired design!!
hugs from Brazil!
Not to sound like a whiny American (because I'm sure that's what some of you will say), but I hate that Samsung and several other companies make so many hot products that are destined to never make it state side. Why? Do they think our market wouldn't buy, or that it's really not worth their time? I'm sure there's some reason involving economics, or some rediculous anit-competition law the US may have in place to protect some company, but I want so many of those Asian products, and yet they refuse to offer so many of them here. (Here comes the whiny American part), IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!
I think the design is not horrible, I mean take a look at the Gateway Core 2 Duo. It has a more clean design, not matter how plain it might be, at least it's not all curvy and as cheap looking as the Gateway.
Actually, I think Samsung is not allowed to sell computers in the US becauseof an agreement with Dell.
Looks like any other boring computer tower. No wonder Apple has such great creativity in product design. They truly think diffrent.
Did you see the wacky new "casing" for computers? They are lifesize. http://www.menstech.com broke the news today.
lame lame lame, that computer is so ugly and boring. engadget, stop showing this type of article. its really broing and getting on my nerves too.
Ahh, you guys thought I was talking about the case...
What the F**k is the matter with you people, all you guys do is b!tch. I mean yes it is depressing how they keep showing us products that we will never be able to buy, but Samsung decides to go out of the box with a sleek simple design and you guys decide to tear it up. I cant believe that you guys think the same cheep bulky plastic sh!t that all the other manufacturers are pushing looks better, and I dont know what type o sh!t that GIO kid (the apple user) is smokin because the last time I checked Apples designs ar just as plan as this one if not more. And just to let you in on the secret GIO. The whole world hates you and every other apple fanatic to walk the earth and although nobody says it we all thing this planet would be a much better place if you arrogant wannabe hipsters with your liberal ideals and sharp marketing schemes would just disappear.
