We've kind of tapered off on
Xbox 360 case mod coverage, since beyond a
bit of paint here and
a large fan there, where are you going to go? Well, a friendly Engadget tipster finally answered that question with the "Xbox 360 Tissue-Dispensing Alarm Clock Case Mod." Featuring not only intense tissue-dispensing action, but a snazzy EL-based alarm clock, the Xbox 360 case mod sheds all such constraints such as "functionality" and "reason" for a case mode made especially in our honor. Fitting, no?
[Thanks,
Jordan]

formication @ Jul 29th 2006 7:40PM
Certainly more reliable than the default configuration ;)

Hey, that's not LED's - it's electroluminescent(EL) display enabled. Absolutely love your work, Engadget!

that must be the most expensive tissue-dispensing-alarm-clock i've ever seen.
marcin @ Jul 29th 2006 8:08PM
would be cool if the xbox still worked...

I'm missing something here aren't I?
Jordan @ Jul 29th 2006 8:12PM
I bought a black Xbox 360 case so I had to remove the white one to install the black one. So all the "innards" went back into the new black case. So I thought, why not do something with the old case. So i made this and dedicated it to my favorite blog.

Man that is too cool. An xBox 360 alarm clock/tissue dispenser. I am also wondering... what happened to the insides of the xBox 360?

I did not buy a new Xbox 360 to do this with. I used my old white case.

Perhaps the ugliest clock/tissue dispenser I've ever seen.
Who combines these functions anyway? And why would you want them so enormous?
D.D. @ Jul 29th 2006 10:28PM
This is the only model of x360 thats going to have any chance in Japan
Zach @ Jul 29th 2006 11:16PM
Ok, so the big question is, how do you replace the tissue's once you've used them all? Open up the case again?
Mike @ Jul 29th 2006 11:19PM
The modder should have included at least one picture of the interior because i'm having a lot of trouble believing its more then just a tissue stuck in the DVD-ROM opening.......
Juaquin @ Jul 29th 2006 11:38PM
You should sell it on eBay as "XBOX 360!!! case" and see if someone would buy it for hundreds of dollars like the xbox 360 boxes.
EJ @ Jul 29th 2006 11:53PM

"i'm disgusted by this guy, i don't care if this isn't a smash thing, his past is pretty darn ugly"
LOL, don't worry. Jordan Keeling, Keith Bunnell, an Jaron Avila will soon get their asses sued off for the "Smash my XBOX360" video by Hollywood Video (the store they ripped off) and by the RIAA, for using the music of RHCP without paying royalty. on top of that, their parents will kick their asses, too :DDD
BTW, smashing stuff is just idiotic and boring. but ripping off a store is fraud, that's a different cathegory.

i say NES in a 360 case! or any other old school game console would be fun.

Hey, someone actually found a use for an Xbox 360. Besides being used to toast a bagel I mean.

Yes!

Jason @ Nov 6th 2006 10:12PM
Well, at least it doesn't explode as much. And no worries about the three red LEDs of Death, because the screen isn't capable of displaying a color other than blue :-).
This is probably the best thing I've ever seen a Microsoft product used for.
aaron @ Jun 4th 2007 12:39PM
