Paris Hilton, Barry Manilow, and others coming to HD DVD
Oh man, do we have good news for the HD DVD camp. Their format party is really set to take off once Paris Hilton arrives and Barry Manilow is there to entertain. Ms. Hilton coming out on House of Wax along with other Warner Home Video 'classics' on September 12. Troy, Space Cowboys, and Lethal Weapon 2 are all going to be presented in their original aspect ratios at 1080p with a Dobly Digital-Plus 5.1 soundtrack. Troy is the only one of these titles that is going to get Warner's "In-Movie Experience" treatment that is loaded with interactive video commentary. These titles are going to be at the normal $28.99 price, but that is well worth it for House of Wax right? But the party isn't going to be hoping till Barry and his friends from Chicago, and Heart show up on November 7th. Image Entertainment is releasing three music concerts that is sure to reach farther into the general populous. Fans are now going to Barry Manilow Live!, Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire: Live at the Greek Theatre and Heart: Alive in Seattle. These concerts were filmed in 1080p and are going to be presented in it as well. These titles are sure to make some people jump formats as there is nothing like Barry Manilow in high-def and so far, you can only get it on HD DVD.
