Logitech's ChillStream controller cools hot hands
If pulling all-nighters watching your frag count go sky high gets you all hot and bothered, Logitech is looking to put your hyperhidrosis on ice. The ChillStream, Logitech's latest offering in the PC gamepad market, looks awfully like the S Controller for the original Xbox, which probably isn't a bad thing (if you dig that style). While completely predictable in (most) every design aspect, the gamepad sports an "unparalleled" four-point precision D-pad that somehow makes those delicate strafe movements even more undetectable. But all that's water under the bridge, as the real fuss here comes from the trio of air vents on each side, carefully positioned to channel "3.41 cubic feet of air per minute" onto some of your more sweat-prone areas (hands! hands!). Apparently Logitech has bought up the exclusive rights to the AirFlow technology -- previously owned by the same folks who built an intercooler for your overheating Xbox 360 -- and could possibly bring the technology to the PS3 when it launches -- but don't expect to see fan-cooled controllers from anyone else for a long while yet. So if unduly slippage is seriously hindering your game, you can keep those trigger fingers arid for $39.99 this September.

Have to say ive been using this control for some time now and its so worth the price, it makes long gaming sessions so much more relaxing.
also in response to the people asking would your hands not get cold, there are 3 fan settings, a low, high and off, so if your hands start to get too cold you can just turn it down or off completely :D
i recommend this control to any serious gamer i love mine :D

Man I LOVE my Airflow controller for my XBox. The thing feels great and playing for hours without sweaty hands is a very good thing. Plus I was lucky enough to snatch a full set on clearance at like $9 a piece.
I had similar for my PS2 a few years ago.
Wow, good idea. I hate it when my friend is using it, passes it to me and its all sweaty. Yuck. I have a PS2 though. Sorry Xbox fanboys(not putting you down, the Xbox is awesome) but I prefer Playstation... *cough cough* even though it's dying *cough*
maybe it's bad circulation, but my hands always get cold when playing on a console.
I've got a Nyko Airflo mouse, and it's the best(and 'coolest') mouse I've ever had :)
I'm sure the controllers are great too.
just the thing to go with the airflow-under-your-butt-seat.
This would be awesome, if my PC controller worked with half of my games. Y'know, it's wierd that Call of Duty 2, which runs on the Xbox 360 AND PC, wouldn't take an Xbox 360 controller. Just plain funky.
If they dropped the price, that would probably be a good deal, but wouldn't your hands get cold?
Heck yes! I always get sweaty palm from playing Prince of Persia and when I hand the controller to my bro-in-law, he always makes the gooey "grossed out" face. I say "it's not my fault! I have a glandular problem!" but that still doesn't take away the sweat. Hopefully, this will. Thanks, Logitech! Woo!

there is an off switch for winter
I can't see this being incredibly successful...
I bought an AirFlo for GameCube a few years ago when I came out- it was a big controller, and wasn't that comfortable. Not to mention, the rumble fan stopped when the controller rumbled.
A few weeks ago (a sign of its popularity), I bought an AirFlo XL for PlayStation 2, which, I've decided, is exactly the same as my GameCube controller, except it's a metallic blue, has a USB connector (requires extra power) and has "XL" under the AirFlo name.
It was $2.50, new. I was looking for the mouse for my girlfriend, however, but GameStop (the only store I've seen them in) didn't have any.
