MSI's StarReader "52-in-1" card reader handles SIM cards, too
It's actually pretty hot that MSI's new StarReader USB flash memory card can handle something like 52 different formats, including CompactFlash, MicroDrive, MemoryStick Pro, MemoryStick Duo, MemoryStick Pro Duo, SD, miniSD, microSD, MMC, RS-MMC, MMC mobile (when you click on the link and read the full list you'll see they're being a little shady and counting even slight variations in formats as different card types), but what we're really digging is that it can handle SIM cards, too, something that's still relatively rare in an all-in-one card reader.

51 in 1 is a joke - how are IBM Microdrive and Hitachi Microdrives separate devices? I still don't really count them as different from CF Type II never mind splitting them due to the manufacturer changing; I might start selling a 300 in 1 SD card reader that supports Sandisk SD cards AND Kingston SD cards.......

Maybe the company making them is called "52 in 1" ;-)
lol! reminds me when we used to see cheap blank CDRs made by a company called "16x" a couple years ago..
heh heh

I don't see Sony's new "MemoryStick Micro - M2" that Sony Ericsson is using in their phones.
- Guess we have to use the M2-to-MS adapter.
Cool with the SIM compatibility.

Hmm, is the SIM card read with a PC/SC compliant smart card reader? Or is it some sort of controllerless SIM reader?

I would get this simply for the SIM card support. At the moment the only way I can access my SIM cards is through my cellphones. Depending on how this handles the data on a SIM card it could well be worth it.

Man I need this, my cell just died and I need the numbers off of it

Buhahaha! I wonder how long would it for M$Wind0ze to add all the disk letters for all the media.
We here in office have about 10 mandatory network drives. Adding "standard" card reader with 4 drive letters takes about ~2.5min. Do not ask me what M$WinXP does all that time - but device is unusable unless you wait for *all* drive letters to appear.

So will this make hacking a SIM card easier??
