Creative's TravelDock Z500 for Zen Vision: M/V Plus

The first pics of Creative's upcoming TravelDock Z500 have surfaced courtesy of the COMEX Convention brochure, with the unit looking a lot less like a lunch box than some of Creative's earlier TravelDocks. This one will rock support for both the 30GB and not-yet-released 60GB Zen Vision M players, as well as the Zen Vision V Plus with the aid of an interchangeable faceplate. As you can see, it also comes equipped with a handy remote control, and will obviously work as a charger in addition to pumping out the tunes, but it looks like we'll have to wait for the official announcement to get any further deets -- most importantly, pricing and availability.

I've never used a zen player, so maybe its just me...but doesn't it look like the iPod interface showing up on their player?

Apple copied the Creative interface and just lost in a lawsuit By Creative so Apple has to pay the for using there menu system. So yes you do see an iPOOD menu because Creative created it.

But NTL. the next player I will get is probably going to be a Zen Vision:M.

Apple 'may' have copied their hierarchy patent (it was not proven in court), but they did not copy their interface. Creative copied the look & feel of the iPod UI instead. Green battery on top, blue color bar, white color, white earbud etc.

as a zen vision:m owner, all i can say is, it's about bloddy time they came out with a proper accessory


there are several colour themes for the zvm, and yes one looks exactly like the ipod's ui

I have a ZVM and man does it ROCK! Hopefully this dock has a line in, though so I can use it on my DIY surround sound as the center speaker; I'm making 5.2.
