Samsung busts out the R7, their first 10-inch mobile TV
Those pranksters at Samsung are always mixing up the display sizes on us, and now they've thrown down a 16:9 widescreen 10-incher for your DMB viewing pleasure. The R7 features MP3 and photo playback, and can even handle an external drive for viewing video, but it seems mostly suited to lounging around the home with some up-close and personal DMB broadcasts. Samsung wants to move the TV from a "fixed, family-oriented device to a more mobile, personal gadget." We're not so sure that ethic would go over so hot if verbalized in the States, but it's not like they'll be shipping it over here anyways, so the point is moot.

I wonder what the resolution of the tv is?
Wow, finally Samsung is creating good designs - first that music phone, now this TV, very slick and Apple esque...
Do those white girls come with it?
Damn, why can't cool stuff like this ever make it to America? I'm in a dorm, and would kill for something like this. I have a AverMedia PCMCIA tv tuner, but most of the channels show up as static, and I have no room for even a 13" tv. A mobile tv like this is everything I want, so of course, I can't get it. :(
This will bring even greater change than was created by the portable cassette player in the music industry.
They should call this site ENGADGET JAPAN that tv will never hit U.S. Can u imagine how horrible it would look running under a VHF/UHF anntena. Every ch will be snowy.
Good question Zord. I really like the redhead with the orange hat.
Any chance this screen will be used on the PSP2 ?
Instead of a bigger screen than the Archos AV700 and the Mobinote
series under various OEM labels they need to work on getting rid of
all the plastic on the face of these units so that it's almost all
screen.
