I don't know what jewelry store you worked at, but last I checked, most 1 Ct diamonds cost several hundred dollars (a perfect 1 Ct diamond, laser-etched costs around $20,000 by itself). And, 62 1-carat diamonds, if you do the math, for $20,000 isn't so bad of a deal. Plus, you get a mediocre MP3 player with it!
Seriously though, I can think of better players to encrust with diamonds though. *cough* 60 GB Ipod.
