Griffin just slipped three new iPod accessories into the Apple Expo showroom: the iKaraoke, iTalk Pro, and TuneCenter. The iKaraoke allows you to fade-out the vocals from your favorite songs and replace 'em them with your very own self-stylings over the included mic. The results can then be pumped out your stereo over the wire or wirelessly via the embedded FM transmitter. Three levels of reverb are available to improve your vocals for, well you know, when the sake just ain't enough. The new iTalk Pro boasts not just one, but two built-in mics for 16-bit stereo or 8-bit mono audio recordings. But you'll need to drop an external mic into that 1/8-inch jack, jack, if you need greater stereo separation. Last, and certainly least, is the TuneCenter -- another of those iPod media docks with remote controls. Only this dock sports a "full-slate" of Internet Radio stations -- bonus! No pricing has been announced, or availability, but we've got some bigger snaps after the break and that's gotta count for something.

Am I just stupid or can I never find a link on these mailings to the manufacturer? (It would be great thing to have (if it isn't there already!!!)
On a completely unrelated note, the add for the ten best bras ever is really distracting.
Is it the TRUEcenter or TUNEcenter? You have it spelled different in two places.
I think it's only distracting because you keep looking at it. Once you realize its there, all you have to do is scroll down...is that so hard? Also, on a more related note, does anyone think that a karaoke attachment for iPod is actually a good idea? I would think that people use iPods to hide themselves in good music, not ruin it with their own voice. The only good thing I think is the internet-radio dock, unless it too, has DRM protection on it.
On an unrelated note people on the internet can't spell "ad" right or tell the difference between "lose" and "loose."
Come on guys its not that hard.
When is Griffin going to announce their plans to sell a JetPack and Laser Saw? ;P
These guys LOVE to announce potential products, test the market with presales, redesign it, and then wait a year or two to release it....Firewave, iFM, Radioshark of got this same treatment. And there are a GRIP of other things they just never released; they just disappear from the site (ex. AirClick Combo).
I despise these types of business practices...Griffin is lucky to be so successful acting so poorly. They suck.
Hey Raphael,
Being so irritated by common grammatical f'ups, you must be driving yourself crazy using "its" instead of "it's" (compound of "it is").
Hee hee hee! Talk about throwing stones...
The tunecenter is available at circuit city, for 124.99, and has been for a while.
I know how to spell ad. I guess DD was going through my mind at the time.
I have pre order the TuneCenter in july, and have received it today. Will test it tonight.
Price is Good around 90$ on Canadian Cost.
When will the "i" everything STOP. It is driving me crazy, I catch myself typing iRaq, instead of Iraq.........
I think it will end when Apple decides to shift the marketing paradigm for the whole world and file for bankrupcy...anyone see that happening anytime soon with fanboys around?
Nice... I own a music website (http://www.moture.net) and I'll probably be linking this article in the forums. :)
Will these work on the Nano as well?
the iKaraoke dock connector looks like the new shuffle!
I just got my tunedock yesterday that I ordered in January. I poseted my review (w/ pictures) on my blog, if you're curious. (http://jimtac.blogspot.com/)
the dock is $130. we' ve had it at circuit city for two weeks.
I see with the design is that the scroll wheel should be on the other side with the small screen, so it could be used in music mode without opening it up.
Someone quoted:
"On an unrelated note people on the internet can't spell "ad" right or tell the difference between "lose" and "loose."
Come on guys its not that hard."
Shouldn't that be difficult rather than hard?
Since the grammarian police seem to be on the prowl.
TJ,
Thanks for posting your review. I believe, originally, the TuneCenter was supposed to allow you to view the Video menus on-screen, however, I think this isn't possible today due to a limitation of the iPod's firmware. The DLO Homedock Deluxe has the same limitation although the manual notes the iPod's firmware as the reason. Unfortunately, what this means is that Apple will probably only update their firmware to allow this once they already have a dock capable of these same features. Regardless, I ordered the TuneCenter because I think it will be a good solution for my needs. FYI to everyone, I originally purchased a DLO Homedock Deluxe and returned it promptly. The remote on the Homedock barely works which makes it pretty worthless.
to over priced
The iKareaoke thing is a good idea. At least you can practice your vocals. But it can be pretty scary to play back if you suck =[. That other person is right. "i" is in front of everything now, isn't it? I can't wait to see the iChair. Included with cable for charging. And you can also enjoy that beutifal music through the stereo while it's charging! And does anyone think these people got the "i" idea from the I Robot movie?
Well, today is 5 Dec 06, well into the Xmas selling season and the iKarakoe is not yet available. I am very eager to get on and believe there are a lot of people who would be interested. If it works, you could take karaoke singing anywhere (beach, park, mountains, etc) which would be a good thing. Unless you hate hearing the guy next to you warble off key! Anyway there really is a market for a working iKaraoke.
