Pioneer @ CEDIA - History of Pioneer plasmas
We can say that without a doubt, this is one of the coolest displays at the '06 CEDIA EXPO. Pioneer dug up one of their first displays and hung it next to a newer one processing a signal like it was '01 on one side and '03 on the other. Then lastly, there is a display from this generation to show how far Pioneer plasmas have evolved. The color is better along with the definition, contrast, brightness, and lastly, power consumption. The digital numbers in the middle of the display is showing the power usage of the above displays. Believe it or not, a good amount of people stray away from the PDP market because of high power consumption and this shows that things aren't the way they used to be. If you are at the EXPO, swing by the Pioneer booth and wander to the back of it where this demo is located.
