Samsung's 4GB YP-T9 goes legit -- in China
So, Samsung has just released the YP-T9 in China, along with its Bluetooth counterpart, the YP-T9B we spotted passing through the FCC in July. Maybe Sammy didn't get the memo, but that FCC of ours is best used -- in our opinion, at least -- for Stateside releases, none of this piddling China stuff. Of course, a China release doesn't preclude a US release, and it's not like Samsung ever drops anything first over here anyways, but that doesn't mean we can't be total whiners about it. As for specs, everything seems to match the FCC docs, including a 1.8-inch screen, MP3, WMA and OGG codec support, Flash games, 30 hours of music playback, 6 hours of video playback (down from the 7 we spied, take that China!), and of course the 4GB of flash memory and Bluetooth support. Keep reading for some purty press shots of the player, but don't get too attached... gadget love is a cruel mistress.

According to CNet Asia's photos of the label on the rear cover, this player only has 1 GB of storage. Will it be 4 GB when it comes to the US?

I've been holding off replacing my aging Rio Cali for something exactly like this. Anything missing built in wireless and video/photo is a too much of a lateral upgrade.

Looks really nice. I donated my yp-t8 to my girlfriend after she killed her muvo she had for eons. Looks like this will be a nice replacement.

I've got the T9 (4GB with Bluetooth) as a Christmas present. It's great. iPod nano can be compared to this amazing Samsung MP3 player. I feel like a king with it.
Another interesting thing: I think there's a few T9 sold in Melbourne, Australia. Only saw 3 on the shelve at Harvey Norman. Can't find it anywhere else.

For people who have the T9B Bluetooth version, have you tried using Bluetooth to transfer files to and from the device? It would be nice to have a laptop enabled with BT and just access or transfer a few files to and from it. Please let me know if you've tried it for transfer
