GPS,
Acer drops P630 and P610 GPS units in Europe
It's nothing we haven't seen before, but Acer is bringing a pair of decently specced portable GPS units to the European market with their new P610 and P630 navigators. Both devices feature a 4-inch 480 x 272 widescreen LCD, Windows CE 5.0 powered by a 400MHz Samsung processor, 64MB of ROM, 64MB of RAM, an SD card slot, and MP3 playback. The P610 features maps of France and basic Europe roads on its included 256MB SD card, while the P630 includes detail of the rest of Europe, along with hands-free Bluetooth operation. The P610 should be out in October for 299 Euros ($380 US), no word on the P630.

STOP SAYING DROPS! Drops means CANCELLING, NOT releasing!
Didnt realise it was so important to make an annoucement for a product being discontinued!!!
The more you complain about them misusing any form of "drop," the more they're just gonna continue using it to annoy you. :P
Ok, this story was written by Paul Miller. Next time I see a headline using "drop" to mean "release", and not "no longer produces", I'll watch to see who the author is. If it's the same guy, hopefully enough people will complain and he'll start to get the message.
Someone has gone to the trouble of revamping the website, and introducing a (albeit basic) moderation system. Don't continue to annoy people with such terrible english please.
If you do a search for "drops" it looks like Paul Miller and Donald Melanson are the main offenders (I only scrolled through a few pages).
Very confusing. If you have to try so desperately (and sadly) to sound hip, at least use the slang correctly. Albums are dropped, products are released.
Mike Browning took the words right out of my mouth! Slang / hip talk doesn't belong in headlines. It took me a few seconds to realize that you were saying that Acer was releasing new models, vs cancelling them.
Seriously, how many times do these guys need to be told about this particular grammatical FUBAR?
Did you read the translated page? Apparantly both devices come with, and here I quote, "64 Mo of ROMANIANS". Gotta have a huge car to fit 64 million Romanians into it.
