At Engadget, most of us are what you'd call casual gamers, given that on occasion, we love to kick back with a round or two of "Civilization IV" whenever we need some R&R. That said, we're lightyears away from Kevout -- the guy that just won
Joystiq's contest of "Most impressive
gamer rig" -- who just took home a new copy of "Dead Rising" for the Xbox 360. He's got a 32-system setup (
only 21 of those consoles are actually connected), that ranges from a
Commodore 64 to an
Xbox 360, accompanied by a total of 568 games; amusingly, since he blows all his loot on videogame hardware and software, he had to scrounge that disgraceful CRT out of a dumpster. We assume that once Kevout gets his paws on a
PS3 he'll have achieved gamer nirvana. Until the
Wii comes out, that is.
Yeah.. Toxic Avenger's link out does this guy....
That guy won a copy of Dead Rising for this? He sure as hell won't be able to read the game text using the 360 on that dumpster tv!
Where's his Commodore Amiga? Ten different models and you'd think he'd have at least one...
he needs to get out more
Also missing a Turbo Express
No Gamate and no CD32? What a lamer.
JDigital: Amigas are computers, not consoles (except the CD32).
Oh wait, I thought this is consoles only, but then I saw the C64. Yeah, truly a lamer if he doesn't have an Amiga.
hmm He doesn't have a PSP, but he certainly has alot of garbage consoles, probably found some of them in the garbage along with the television. Wonder how many work? (not just taking his word for it, is there video somewhere of them working?)
Hmmm, I think I have all of these except the 32X, plus a PSP, Lynx, Vectrex, and Bally Arcade.
But my set up is too spread out and messy for a good photo.
Chris Sabo? Really?!?
No Vectrex!
Not, THAT impressed...I dont see a NEC Duo anywhere.
Yeah he doesnt have the psp it is great, you probably dont have one thats why.
Where is the space reserved for PS3? Or is he going to need a whole new cabinet to fit the monster?
how could gamers take impressive rig guy when, until Bonez said something about it, the Atari 5200 is labelled an Atari 2600? very hard to tell, but his "Atari 2600" could also be the Atari 7800.
ill take that and raise with my 3do m2
almost 600 games.... but no psp? average 1 game @ $30 (i kno... it varies!)
568x30=17040
$17040=about 80 PSPs....
get my point?
Is it just me or did I miss the PS2?
Never mind... just saw it in front of the tv...
Shamefully absent is the TI99/4a
wow... odyssey.. its been a while
What?! No Spectrum?! what a crime!
thats not a very good spot for the wii since the sensor is in that and its not like a light gun so movements are registered in relation to the system not the tv
Pff, that's nothing. I've got a couple thousand games and all of those systems PLUS a PSP. Anyone notice he has no old school gameboys, gameboy pockets, or gameboy colors? How about a NeoGeo Pocket Color? Game.com? I won't even mention N-gage cause..who actually got that >_>. But regardless, this isn't all THAT impressive.
Thats not a NES.
Any real collector has an Atari 400... mmmmmembrane! Star Raiders on that futuristic keyboard was almost too much.
Chris Sabo? This guys obviously living in an alternate world...
No NeoGeo, TI-99 or Lynx?
No Sega Channel!!! You wish you had my sega channel. :P
not only does he not have a psp, he does not have a traditional gameboy i beleive and the original nintendo but still quite impressive.
