Nokia N95 gets real
So it's not official official yet, but we know enough to say with some confidence that Nokia's oft-rumored N95 (alias N83) dual slider will be announced today. What does that mean? For one thing, it means we can move past the frustratingly blurry spy shots and onto some glamorous press photos, but more importantly, it takes the guesswork out of the spec sheet. Let's just put it this way: for anyone who thought the N73 was a half-baked effort, the N93 oughtta fit the bill. Nokia seems to be challenging naysayers to find a missing feature or buzzword, cramming in a 5-megapixel cam, integrated GPS, 802.11g, a 3.5mm audio jack (if the A2DP support isn't your cup of tea), 150MB of internal memory, microSD expansion, and HSDPA support (a first for Nokia). Word on the street has the everything-to-everybody N95 dropping in Q1 of 2007 for around €550 -- that's about $700, just in case the possible US release actually goes down.

The Satnav On the Nokia N95 didn't work, so i sued Nokia. After 30 days there was no response from Nokia and the court ordered them to refund me £300....Heres my case sent to www.moneyclaim.gov.uk
"Goods "not fit for purpose".Claimant purchased a Nokia N95 mobile phone with GPS satnav. At no stage did the GPS work properly. The Claimant contacted T-mobile(sellers)who informed him that responsibility laid with NokiaUk. Nokia offered many fixes&advice on various software updates and patches &other ways to correct the defect(e.g "assisted GPS"). Many hours (hundreds) were expended over several months followingAdvice but to no avail. In Nov2007 the defendant informed the claimant that nothing further Could be done&the claiment took this as an admission that the product was "not fit for purpose". Prior to purchase the claimant researched the manufacturers specs (nokia.com). The phone was purchased from T-mobile (In-house sales line). TheClaimant made it clear to the salesperson that he only wished to purchase a phone with GPS capabilities. He was assured that the GPS would be effective.During the same call the purchase was made. The GPS proved innefective and the claimant now seeks a refund of the costs incurred with this purchase"
qwerty is overrated ;)
Sounds good, but why Nokia does not provide a touchscreen so that its much more easier to use the PDA functionalities (also for the browser & other applications). Its hard to imagine spending so much on a smartphone which does not have a touchscreen.
thanks,
Krishnan
Now if they can only put these exact specs to a phone that looks like the E50 I will be happy.
Ooh yeah! Come to mommy... I've had my eye on this ever since it was called the N83 - ironically, ever since I picked up my N80 :)
What's with the dirty fingers?
He had to kill a man to get that shot.
Ohhh, I can't live without such baby... Especially wi-max option
With this gadget I'll be down to two chargers. Now there's only one thing left and it really will be all things to all people -- so when will they offer the E-series Crackberry software on the N-series??
DO think this kick ass phone will hit South Africa
wow, a 5megapixel cp....does it have an optical zoom??? this cp is so cool!!!!!
Wow. The style and functionality are all good. Another gadget for me to save up money. Whew! I just bought my N70. Oh oh.
anyone remember the N83 - obviously they changed the looks before launching the N95..

how could i buy LG kg920 in iran?
The N95 is going to be amazing! If your going to get one check out the N95 forums http://www.n95users.com/forum
No, I bought the N91 from www.mobilebee.com, but if you live in the EU, you will have to pay VAT to bring it in to the EU. You will also have problems getting it repaired within the 12 month warranty, as MobileBee say it takes Nokia in the USA 3 months on average and will only accept the return of the phone if they give the consumer a return code. If they refuse to give this, you are in a quandary. Your consumer rights in the EU are better protected than in the USA, as I discovered to my cost, and the cheaper phone in the USA will cost as much when VAT has to be paid on it. You should also note that Mobile Bee source many Nokia phones in Asia, meaning that even though it is sold from a USA website to Europeans, you might have difficulty getting appropriate software updates if you decide to pay for a repair yourself in the EU. I had to replace the hard drive on the Nokia N91 within 2 months of purchase at my own cost and with great difficulty sourcing the appropriate update, but I have had no problems since and like the phone, despite the initial nuisance and expense Nokia and www.mobilebee.com caused me.
All these phones are just old check the new Nokia N99 and N97
