USB Circus Cannon brings big top fun to your desk
Much like the USB air darts we saw last winter, this new Circus Cannon connects to your free USB port (go on, unplug that scanner that you hardly use anyway), and then will shoot three foam "babes" (they look like darts with faces to us) whenever you please. If that wasn't enough, the $35 package comes with its own miniature circus net and pre-recorded sound effects -- you can even add your own sound effects, surely to the annoyance of your co-workers. Mac fans, sorry, this one is Windows XP-only. We've heard the USB freak show is just around the corner, so watch out.

Do they sell a model with needles on the end?
Michael @ Oct 5th 2006 8:49AM
Now, all they need is a model with webcam and software. For, y'know, aiming purposes.

Looks like a fun toy to have.

I'm holding out for the USB-powered Big-Mouth Bass that acts as a speakerphone and puts the caller's voice in the bass's voice.

Although these are advertised as WIN only, the free Mac application that controls the Missile Launcher may be able to control this toy too:

So I should be able to rig this up to my Webcam based security system in my room so that it will now shoot anyone entering my computer room right after it photographs them? lol!

You know, this is the first product I have ever bought based solely on the Engadget post. Now let's just see if they really do ship from Hong Kong to the US...

i still don't think this looks as good as good as the usb air darts from last year. i got thinking about them again and just found a place that is selling them www.kleargear.com. they said that there are hacks to make it usable with linux and mac. this is the best toy in engadget history.

You can get these shipped from the United States now, too (no more paying a fortune and waiting forever):

I saw a USB Cannon video on YouTube, and ended up buying it. You can buy it and see the video here http://www.vat19.com/dvds/usb-cannon.cfm $35 is a small price to pay for all the satisfaction I get from shooting this at my co-workers.
