Elecom's U.STYLE USB flash drives
Japanese manufacturer Elecom has busted out a couple of new USB flash drives to suit your style -- if your style happens to be white plastic, that is. Available in four different yes remarkably similar designs, the U.STYLE drives each come in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB varieties, except for the "Block" model, which drops the low end 256MB option and ups the transfer rate to 25MB/sec.. No word on when these might available, unfortunately, and Elecom's only giving the standard "open price" line on how much they're gonna cost.

Come on... Did we really need a blog entry about USB flash drives?

Come on... did you really need to take the time to reply to a post you apparently don't care about?
To anyone thinking similarly to hehehhehe:
IF YOU DON'T CARE, DON'T READ IT!

It's better than no posts at all. I use engadget to help keep me up on all the nifty goodies, no matter how boring they may seem to you.
A better question.... why not have a post about flash drives?
I just had to buy a new flash drive and I wanted something stylish. It was very hard to find anyone who wrote up to date information on what the 'cool' flash drives were. Engadget didn't actually have a whole lot, and I ended up finding a year old round up somewhere else.
In the end I only managed a san disk 2gb... why aren't there more really cool flash drives out there? I want oled and all kinds of subtle yet impressive gizmos on my flash drive... so it can match my MacBook Pro (light sarcasm intended).
...Did I just write a quarter page about the state of flash drives? :|

Why does the "Smart" one look Mac-ish? Mac users aren't smart...

Yeah, they look nice, but if I can get a similarly equipped Kingston for cheaper, I suddenly don't care about looks.

... yay?

They honestly need help thinking of names. I don't want a flash drive called a 'cute', I want one that gives me big storage for small dollar.
