Swedish startup Visual Sound looks to be out to make a name for itself in the crowded digital audio player space -- in Sweden at least -- recently launching the VS1 DAP in its home country. While it may have a shot at attracting some homegrown ABBA-aficionados, the VS1's fairly run-of-the-mill specs would seem to discourage most from going to the trouble of importing one, with the player packing just 2GB of storage, along with a 1.8-inch TFT, and support for MP3, WMA, and WAV audio, as well as WMV and AMV video files. The unit itself is small enough though, measuring 2.36 x 1.65 x 0.57-inches (like a shorter, fatter iPod nano), also coming equipped with an FM tuner, audio recording capabilities, and a somewhat unique built-in speaker (which we're sure will blow the roof off). Look for this one to set you back 1,698 Swedish Kronor, or just about $230.
