Consumer Reports helps kill fears about LCD and plasma reliability

A good portion of the general populous crave those fancy LCDs and plasma displays but are afraid of their reliability. Early models didn't hold up as good as their price warranted and consumers, well, most don't keep up with the times but Consumers Reports should help with that. The magazine that is read by parents and grandparents everywhere is reporting that during the first two years, LCDs and plasmas exhibit no 'repair issues.' We have been recommending flat-panels since our our inception but now with the original consumer watchdog organization giving the O.K. hopefully this will stir a sales boost and increase the demand for more high-def programming. LCD brands that fall under this heading: JVC, Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp, Sony and Toshiba. Favorable plasma brands are: Fujitsu, Hitachi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Sony or Toshiba.
