Engadget's relaunch giveaways: a Nikon D80 DSLR with lens!

Photographers in the house, we've got a winner for last week's S7c! Bryan W is taking home the prize! Thanks to everyone for joining our Flickr group, we hope you'll have fun sharing gadgety photos with your fellow Engadget readers. This week, however, we're going all out. We've got Nikon's new flagship consumer DSLR to give away, the D80; here's the low down to whet your appetite:
- 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor
- 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor lens (approx 7.5x zoom)
- 2.5-inch LCD
- 1600 ISO (with auto ISO mode)
- 11 area autofocus, auto white balance
- Continuous 3fps shooting
- In-camera red-eye correction, etc.
- You may enter other Engadget contests, however...
- You may only enter this contest once; if you enter more than once on this particular contest post you'll be automatically disqualified and barred from all future giveaways. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.) You may enter future Engadget relaunch giveaway contests though!
- You can only win once. (If you win and then try to go for a second prize during our relaunch giveaways, you'll be automatically disqualified, etc.)
- This contest is open to the US only, sorry!
- Be prepared to prove the photo is yours!
- You will be shipped your D80 in a few weeks when all our contests are over. Thanks for your patience!

Seriously Engadget, way to branch out internationaly. I'm sick and tired of all these US only contests, you do have other readers out there!
Thanks for running contests anyways...

Count me in too. Would love one of these. They're the best.
Maybe there's a more Canada-centric gadget blog we can turn to... you know.. one who may acknowledge the existance of readers beyond their own borders once in a while.

Seriously there are more people in the world than just you silly yanks. And it does not help Canadian relations with this whole no Canada being include. Canada is after the closest thing to the 51st state of America.
Iggy :P
Count me in.
Can you add in photoshop work to your picture?
Saweett cam.
You guys seem to think we're selectively excluding our non-US readers, but that's not actually the way it is! We do realize we have a vast foreign readership, but as is often the case, unfortunately Nikon wouldn't ship this device out of the country -- so please know it's not us trying to exclude anyone. We value your readership and participation, and we are in fact giving away Xbox 360s (five of them) to anyone, anywhere.
Also, please be sure you submit photos the proper way -- we will not be judging photos submitted here in comments. Thanks!
Best, Ryan
why not just say that if you live outside US you will have to pay for shipping?
It's not that simple. First, that assumes that these companies want to ship these products outside of the US -- which is typically outside of the jurisdiction of the marketing departments who helped get the units together for the giveaways. Even if they weren't stepping on toes within countries, forcing our winners to pay shiping and customs feeds (which on a device like this would be hundreds of US dollars) is unreasonable. It's just an unfortunate reality that not all of our contests can be international!
yea i won. thanks engadget. thanks ryan block.
Ryan could you give me the link or address so I can enter this contest.
Ryan, I submitted a photo that had Windows XP as the subject of the photograph. Would you or your staff consider that an "electronics or consumer tech" photograph? If not, can I submit another entry without breaking the rules?
US only again... what a surprise...
dude, Engadget Rulez
Damn you Nikon for not shipping this out of US.
cool.
Hands down this is the best Camera out there. I love mine.
