Bushwah. You can do a rip and video conversion at a video bit rate of approx. 1000kbps and an audio bit rate of 128kbps and fit almost any film into less than 1 GB. With 2GB cards being so inexpensive these days, it's not a problem. I would much rather have everything be solid state so as to avoid the battery drain issues, honestly. I have a Tapwave Zodiac, which doesn't have a hard drive, and I watch movies on it all the time on a 2GB card.
