Sunita's USB VoIP Mouse Phone: enough already
Oh yes it is, more of that integrated VoIP phone and mouse nonsense. This is the bigazz, USB VoIP Mouse Phone from Sunita Telecom, which, as that overly pragmatic name implies, is a USB 2.0, 800-dpi optical mouse which doubles as a Skype-compatible VoIP phone. It can be picked up for use as a traditional handset or used handsfree while presumably allowing you to mouse around beneath your muffled man-hand. And yeah, the LED apparently shuts off when held up to your noodle just in case you fear any damage from that glowing LED. No word on pricing or availability but we have to ask, do you really care? Another picture from up-under after the break.

Seems somewhat superfluous to have a voip phone within your mouse since your laptop or computer is right there.

I'm holding out for a volleyball-shaped VOIT phone.
Finally, the phone that wouldn't make Scotty look like an idiot in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
What's with the "after the break" comments? What is this, a TV show?
In blogging software, when you extend a post, you insert a "break". Just a different use of terminology.
They are referring to the break between the end of the story and the comments (additional photos are sometime shown here).
I wonder how it tells the difference from your desk and your face?
Wait a secind, why couldn't they put the cable at the BOTTOM of the 'phone'?
the wire sticking out of the top turns me off more than the original concept, actually.
how useless....
Possibly inspired by the scene with Scotty talking into the mouse in Star Trek IV...
Useless, I'm generally doing other things on my computer while talking on VOIP and I need my mouse. What a sight that would be moving the mouse around your face to use your computer. Besides who in the world wants to hold the phone.
I like this product much for the reasons already mentioned above (now I have to lose mouse control over my PC when I make/receive a call?), but I believe it all would be much more appealing if they took some time to make the keys sleaker (MP3 and phone companies seem to know how to take the best ideas from other companies's products and use it in their own designs, why not some OLED or flush/touch-sensitive buttons here) as well used bluetooth/wireless technology. In fact, when not in use the coreless mouse could have sat in a little rechargable stand like most of our cordless home phones do (although some wireless mouses - in tech terms it's mouses, not mice, right? - already have upright stands).

What no 7-in-1 media reader functionality?
Could we also get a model that includes an electric shaver, so that in addition to the current feature of picking up all the dust on your desk and depositing it on the side of your face, you can *also* have a means of depositing your chin stubble on the desktop, thus forming the third leg of this wholly un-hygenic triangle trade.
Seriously, does it not seem a trifle icky to rub an object all over your desk and then press it against the side of your face?
hmm, sometimes i used to get a bit loopy in the computer lab and hold the mouse to my ear and pretend to listen to it. And yet, I still don't think id buy this.
Also people thought I was weird when I did it. I don't think this product would change their minds.
Also doesn't anybody browse on their comp while on the phone. Could make calls to tech support difficult since you cant use your mouse.
OOOoooooo! Just picture the dust-molds of the buttons on your face!
Great idea, not-so-great implementation IMO.
Make it wireless..........!
Great idea ..., Does LED cause any effect to the BRAIN!
