No one likes getting injections -- we all wish for those hyposprays from Star Trek, where one little puff takes care of all your medicinal needs, painlessly. Well, we're not quite there yet, but Cambridge Consultants has just announced the Conix One, a new type of
inhaler that it claims costs less to manufacture than a single syringe. The company's press release says that its "reverse flow cyclone" provides an "extremely effective deagglomeration process" (just what we've been looking for!), apparently meaning that you can absorb the drug into your lungs faster. If that bird flu does hit, we'll be stocking these faster than you can say "H5N1."

Dude I've been to the areas affected. Don't even joke about that shit.
Lighten up dude. If this site wasn't funny, you wouldn't be back to read this article since the first time you visited the site. Unless, of course, this is your first time visiting the site. In which case, let me personally welcome you!
Agreed. Bird Flu is a very real danger, and it should not be joked about.
Not to mention that even if the bird flu wipes out the population--who are we to judge?
The human species (as said by Joe Rogan) is mold on a sandwich. We are a virus that the planet is trying it's damnedest to get rid of. AIDS, SARS, And Bird Flu is just the world trying to clense itself of Cancer--which is us.
We're a cancer? How morbid.
However, I agree. We suck.
haha yea definitely was thinking smith on this one...
(though i do personally agree)

Funny, I thought that was Agent Smith...
agent smith said we were a form of cockroach or something
(about joe rogan) I've been saying the same thing about the AIDS, cancers, etc. mother nature is trying to create an equilibrium, we [humans] just keep f-ing it up
lol .. hilarious
Hyposprays aren't just Star Trek. They're actually called "jet injectors" (see Wikipedia link below). I've only ever seen one once, when I got a shot for swine flu during the mass vaccinations in 1976. It wasn't painless, but it was better than needles.

On the subject of Man's imperfections and the 'Gaia Theory' comments about Earth simply trying to get rid of us to balance things out... I saw a succinct tagline yesterday that sum's mankind up:-
'Civilisation will not attain perfection until the last stone, from the last church, falls on the last priest...'
