Konica Minolta's coffee-making "bizhub of the future"
There's really not a whole lot the workplace can offer (or that corporate will allow) to make us want to roll into the office day after day, but Konica Minolta's "bizhub of the future" just might change all that. Besides being the typical "prone to jamming" mega printer that has become a staple of workplaces everywhere, it touts an integrated screen, DVD player, built-in speakers, and even an espresso machine to keep our eyelids peeled. Of course, you can also scan, copy, and fax while you're sipping sucking down that caffeinated goodness, but we don't envision much work getting done with Mike Judge's Office Space rolling on the LCD. Currently, the machine is simply a prototype waiting for production, but if the Michael Scott's of the world all band together, surely we can make the mundane work week seem a bit less humdrum.

Heres an idea. Instead of companies buying that stupid crap, why don't they just use the money for raises and bonuses?
ScooterJP @ Nov 9th 2006 8:06PM
lol. So you can spill coffee all over your photocopies even before it leaves the machine?

We have a Konica Minolta uber-printer at work, and it's awesome. However, this just seems stupid. Ever hear the expression jack of all trades, master of none? I think the company I work for will just stick to dedicated coffee machines.

I miss the days where Konica and Minolta were two seperate entities. I also miss the days where Minolta put out fantastic film SLRs and fantastic lenses. Much love to my Maxxum 7000 and my new-ish 700si.

I for one welcome our copying coffee making overlords.

What happens if your coffee gets jammed or comes out the wrong size?

KM stopped making cameras to focus on industrial optics n' corporate copying/printing shizz.
I agree with KorruptioN on the camera issue. But all of their lenses are not on those Sony Alpha cameras, right? I mean, if it says Sony then it's probably shit, but the lenses are the same mount and it's Zeiss glass. At least you can still get glass, and most Minolta cameras can be had for cheap on eBay etc.
