Porsche911, you don't think that it is wrong to quit your job or postpone engagements for a video game console? And yes, I do think that these people are being very stupid indeed. I understand people waiting in line for a day, MAYBE two....but a whole week?
I did the math...those who are planning to sell it immediately are actually quite smart. If they sold it for $5k on ebay (4400 profit) after waiting for 6 days, it'd come out to just over $30 an hour. Probably much more than whatever they're making now.
I know this is stupid, I agree, however, the X360’s fans did the same. Quitting your job and relationship sucks, I guess PS3 is that awesome, people are willing to do anything to get their hands on one.
BTW, why do people buy video games on eBay, now that is stupid, worse than waiting outside, look at me for an example, I got my X360 from a standard retail store when the X360 quantity went up. Buying an overpriced system is pathetic and dumb, I remembered the X360s on eBay.

5K??? What are you smoking? You must be using the famous "Sony" calculator! People are selling presales on ebay for $1500 with 2 games.. which I just checked minutes before posting this.
Now minus the cost of the unit and games and that works out to be more like $5 an hour. Yea 5 bucks to sit in your own filth, surrounded by other people sitting in their own filth for 6 days.
Yup, great businessmen.
And to the guy that talks about having passion for something.. we are talking about a video game system!!! Not world peace, not feeding the hungry, not curing some disease.
The X-Fi3 keeps with the company's commitment to audio fidelity, thanks to the apt-X codec, which supposedly offers audio quality similar to a wired connection when streaming. On that front, the device also handles FLAC files.
