Nintendogs trainable plush toys debut in the UK
Just in case you wanted to get one step closer to actually owning a dog, and felt that the Nintendogs game wasn't close enough, Tomy has come out with a series of plush toy dogs. They come in two basic types, a Trick Trainer Pup (£10, or $19), which can be used to perform tricks by waving a special magnetic Nintendogs bone in front of them, and the Interactive Play Pups (£25, or $48), which will wag their tails and bark playfully when you pet them. We're still not sure why people who need this level of interaction don't just buy a real dog. But real dogs chew up our gadgets strewn across the house -- these probably don't.[Via DS Fanboy]

Much better then getting a dog....
I love real live dogs but this one could be exciting too.
I for one welcome our canine toy overlords
If this dog had Wi-Fi capabilites and would react to how you treat it in the game, and maybe even be able to be controlled from inside the game, then MAYBE, just MAYBE it would be a hit with the female crowd and people looking for a cute gift.
DS Fanboy is a bit behind on this one, I saw these in stores here in Australia a month or so ago.
These have been on sale in the UK for quite a few months. I almost bought one after pay day last month but couldn't really think why I wanted one.

Because they don't crap all over your house, don't bite and are easy to have around small kids?
I was at the Nintendo world Store in NYC this past weekend and they had these on the shelves.
oh, I also got to play the Wii for about 3 hours!
this one is interesting to be with me just like other dogsplushtoys which are there in this site.
