Well, here we are. 2006, and perhaps the last console launch of the decade. And here they are, all decked out n' pretty. Go ahead, debate it. Just be nice, ok? At the end of the day the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, they're only video game consoles, and we love our babies the same. Oh, catch some more flame-stoking conversation-inspiring pics after the break.
For now Xbox pretty much pwns all. But you just wait for PS3s and Wiis to catch up on the games. For example, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is coming for PS3, Solid Gear Metal. For the Wii, CoD5! I mean who doesn't want to play CoD5 on a Zapper! Still Xbox pwns with Halo (sign).
All I wanna say is, I can't wait for Final Fantasy XIII and Grand Turismo 5. If you wanna talk crap then do what you feel. And I am also pretty sure imma get all the other RPGs that comes out on the PS3. That's all I care for and imma stick to it. I don't really like FPS so you can all die cause I rather play airsoft guns for that with better action. If I wanna go boxing, I rather put on a pair of gloves and bust a "Hajime no Ippo" move like the Dempsy Roll on someone's butt. Whatever Fanboy smack you wanna say, well I don't give a smack. All in all, regardless of faltering, imma get me all the PS3 gotta dish on according to RPG so i rather wait for it anyway. If I really want next-gen gaming, I rather be waiting for a game where I can really kick someone's butt like in the movie "Island" with Ewan McGregor and that one hot chick, where you can really witness pain without really fighting someone. Heck, I rather wait 'till I can really shoot someone in a game and end up killing someone in real life... hahaha, that was a joke. I mean come on, how far are we gonna go with this reality crap. I am happy with rpg when it was on SNES and all the PS1/PS2 series. It's not that I don't like XBOX, I do have one for the emulators so I can play my emulated games. But what's the point when you can do that with your PC. Anyway, that's all. Peace... Oh and btw, I did hear that Blue Ray will be the next best thing. It was risky for Sony, but hey they did it again, just hope they do good with FF13 when it comes out. Sorry, I am a FF fan, even though there were some crap FF out there. I still like FFTactics no matter what people say. Just hope Sony put that graphic to good use for their games, and most likely they will. Even though Sony isn't the smartest for putting up risk and what not, they still manage to make it through. They are the true Samurai's IMO. They did make sony walkman and great tv's. They have a good line-up in history in regards to entertainment and electronics, why else would we get a Sony and follow the brand if they didn't. Anyways...Peace. Have fun arguing whatever.
"Sony just takes the same product they have and then try to make it prettier. They really aren't on the forefront with any new technology, and rarely innovate. The only reason the PS3 will do so well is because of the game selection over that of the Wii."
You started out fairly strong with your display of simple grade 8 english. However you either hold to a very blind and biased sentiment, or you truly have no idea what your talking about. Read a book, read a spec sheet, read the newspaper, whether the idea for motion sensing controllers was original or not, sony has BLU RAY, Sixaxis, the ability to load any OS on a partitioned harddrive, and graphics that should make any fan of the Nintendo Wii weep in shame. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't BLU RAY innovative? Is not the compilation of various known technologies into one not innovative?
Ps3 will rule supreme because of business and Superiority. -Business, the ability to make a system that will beat the opposition (yes this often means imitation) -Superiority, the glorious fact that the Wii couldn't match the Ps3 for graphics, interactivity, or networking.
If you can's afford it then don't knock it. Grow Up.
btw for anyone thinking it would be awesome to see someone get hit with a Wii controller,my buddy's little brother discovered that a Wii controller has the potential to travel through a $5000 plasma tv.
the wii dominates in sales and popularity second place is the xbox oh and the ps3 ima not worry bout it ima leave it in the dust cuz thats were there at now thats reality face it microsoft is the best when it comes to computers i have alot of love 4 that but not in gaming ps3 i can only pray 4 that trash the ps2 was hot but come on it juzt couldnt keep up with nintendo so anyone who is a nintedo fan lets celebrate with some patrons n pina collada we the winners hahahahah
thers a reason why nintendo is where it is man these guyz were working on it from morning till dusk a lot of work was put into it they put themselves second to their custumers man look at the controller u dont see sony doing it they juz made it wireless n xbox full of bugz my friend has 1 it has damaged like 5 times piece of trash he copted a wii n was like man xbox is trash
Super smash bros, pokemon,Zelda,Mariokart wii,Galaxy, come on give the other consoles a bear wagon before its to late man juzt look at the numbers NINTENDO !!!!WINNERS!!!!
I love the Wii for the fact that "Next Gen" means a step forward in the design of a game platform. A standard game pad or keyboard/mouse combo is "past it's sell by date" and the Wii is taking little steps towards VR. The 3D glasses and pressure vest for the PC are brilliant, but if they were combined with the Wii style of interaction it would be a real clincher!
Anyway back to my main argument.
I am a NES baby, that was my first console and this may mean I am a little bias, but the Xbox really did convert me when the cube was out... it was crap. But you can not merit a game on graphics. CoD3 was a landmark game in terms of graphics and the gameplay was also quite tight, but it was basically (but not entirely and i take nothing away from this game) still a shoot everything that moves game. MP3 is original, you have puzzles as well as mindless killing. No game on any console comes close to Zelda for puzzles, collectables and storyline... Well Tomb Raider is good, but still not as tight as Zelda.
OK i will give you PlayStation babies a point and agree that Nintendo has maintained it's "kiddie" style, but games like Mario Galaxy add a new dimension to gaming that even Prey failed to deliver, but you can not beat a PC for a serious gaming platform. I have two 1GB Nvidia graphic cards linked giving me 2048MB of VRAM (1GM more than the X-Box 360), 2 GB of RAM and a dual core 2.0MhZ Intel Processor and any game will run better than it's console counterpart. On top of that any port from a console can be plaid using a dualshock USB controller costing £12 just as good as it's counterpart. Add that to the 3D software and pressure vest i am planning on buying and you have an experience better than you can hope to get from a PS3.
OK it takes more time for some games to surface on the PC, and some are console specific, but seriously, if you are going to buy a console for one or two games you are either sick or sad, if you like 10 games that are console specific (and let's face it only Nintendo have that many exclusives), then the choice is obvious, but for me a PS3 or XBox game all seem to merge into one after awhile. A racer is a racer and a shoot 'em up is still a shoot 'em up... same $H1t different game, the Wii changes all that.
As the technology progresses and the games are more responsive to the Wii remote it will be even more immersing.
One final point, ADDICTIVE EXERCISE. You can not thrash your arms about for 25+ hours a week and not loose some weight, which is a plus for me (note my nickname) also the Wii fit will help with that (if it holds my weight)! If you get tired with playing a Wii you are a wuss and need to grow up and just get on with it!
I have been a proud WII owner for over a year now, however I now finding it boring and decided to purchase a playstation 3 GTA4 bundle. I have to say PS 3 is fab and glad I made that switch. Yes I am going to miss the WII sports with movements of the controller however I now do my fitness/sports at my local gym instead. By the way I am a 40 year old games person.
hey, you are right . I also vote for wii it is pretty good but still i also like xbox 360 . wii is great you know we could play cricket and all games . batting It will be fun
I tink Wii is doin a good job but people could get tired of it if good games don't come out fast.In the case of xbox 360 it sells betta dan the ps3 coz its affordable mstly but in 2009 ps3's wud sell lyk hot cakes
ok people.. first of all I tried a wii for about a week. And ok, it was not tiring at all. The games suck. If people think they can loose weight with the wii, get a life. If you want a good game system get the xbox 360. It has the best games and awsome graphics. The PS3 is not bad but the xbox 360 is way ahead by releasing exellent multiplayer games. Wii = fail.
hi! i think wii is better we could move while we play in xbox and playstation we just sitdown and play . i think wii is better. what do you think . www.arun5.piczo.com
I am noticing more and more the diversity of people and their opinions. Some people keep open minds, considering other possibilties, while others only study their side of an argument. Wii already has peoples attention, adults, and kids. I was at Target and saw a couple looking at the Wii and talking with that they wanted one. I have never heard an older person say they wanted to play video games. So because Nintendo has a larger based audience now, it will sell more units. Xbox 360 sells nicely to more Hard Core gamers, and people that like to play multiplayer games. Because of games like halo and gears of war. So it will sell well but not the most. And sony because it is soo expensive, will sell the least. Espically when you can buy a 360 and a Wii for relatively the same price of a Wii. Granted Sony PS3 has lots of power, and looks nice, and has a motion sensitive controller, but because of Nintendo's larger audience, and excellent multiplayer games ffrom microsoft, sony wont do as well. Even though it is a cheap blue ray, not many people have HD tv's yet, and the debate Blu ray vs HD DVD isnt setteled yet. Because Sony is taking larger risks expecting people to dish out a few thousand for tv's and other required stuff, sony will not sell as well, but it will be an awesome system.
Observation: The bigger consoles are the most expensive consoles. Wii is the smallest and cheapest. With that said, I can't wait to play with my Wii Wii!
Wow, look at that, your comments are the lowest ranked, why, because there are assholes who also post in this blog. PS3 is going to be the best system, I do like Nintendo, however, I do not want to play games with that remote, and I like the standard controllers. I have an Xbox360 and it sucks, I preordered a PS3, and I am only going to get the Wii when Super Smash Brothers: Brawl comes out.
I have all 3 and the wii is the most fun(at least Zelda and exitebike are) Hoever Gears of war is on a whole new level. PS3 Blu Ray is good for my dvd's
the wii will be fun but i think it owuld just get boring. yea swinging it around could be cool but it would be tiring. plus doesnt the wii have no dvd player built in??
"swinging it around could be cool but it would be tiring"
Wow, what kind of condition are we in if a video game can wear us out? ;) Sorry, couldn't resist. I have these mental pictures of sweaty people swinging that little wii controller, panting, and dumping cups of water over their heads as they play an intense round of tennis in front of a 50" LCD.
the current wii can't play DVD's because they were trying to get a ton of them out the door for the holiday season at a low price. Next year a DVD playing wii will be released. But seriously, everyone already has a DVD player somewhere in their house. And if not, you can get one for like 40 bucks, and it'll still be cheaper than any other console. So please pick any other inadequacy for the wii to rag on, because that one is pretty weak
god I really hope that was sarcasm. If you look at previous set of pics from when the wii was unboxed, you can see it has a power supply that is equally huge on proportion to its console as the 360's power brick is. The power supply is NOT built in.
360's current hardware lead will last at least through the next 2 holiday seasons. It should be able to incorporate 2 price drops within that time period. Especially on the Core system, which seems to be designed to get down to $150 price point with it's current hardware configuration costs by year 4. Realistically, Sony will be able to pull off the higher price by relying on it's brand loyalty and PS2 installed base thru July. After that, with the current state of business at Sony, it will be very difficult for Sony to take a bigger net loss on the PS3 to help increase it's market share since it's component yields will not yet have improved dramatically. As we've seen over time, it takes roughly 2 years/10mil units to reach a point where the chip yields can make a big jump, lowering the consoles cost. With a possible $199 360 by next Holiday, Microsoft should probably hit 20 million consoles by the end of Jan 08. That's if they can sell 2.5m this Holiday, which w/out a price drop they won't be able to do based off of October's sales numbers. With an install base that big, 3rd party game developers will HAVE to begin to developing with the 360 as the base console from a business standpoint. Since it will have the largest installed base and you can sell the most games. When it's all said and done, PS3 and 360 will probably be neck-in-neck in North America, but 360 have more market share in Europe, India(2nd highest world population), and South America. But for that to happen, Sony will have to absorb a lot more cost to push that many units to catch up to a cheaper 360 console, which financially it is unable to do at least for next the 5 fiscal quarters.
B.T.W., I don't own any "next gen" console, I refuse to pay more than $300 when I only play 5-7 games a year. Which would make me an average "gamer" by industry analysts.
ya no shit. mr. block is the man. he gets all the hottest next gen gming systems b4 everyone. and gets to test them etc...plus hes great at what he does, iv been following engadget for a long time and ya hes good at reviewing products!! o and great work at keepin us updated on the ps3 and wii
no way. i agree with you on the others but ps3 is already immpossible to get for the holiday season. eb games has 200 more orders to fufill..people are camping outside..i knw i am...its going to sell. alot.. if the numbers are true what sony says by 2m units by the enf of 2006. they will sell everyone..plus its the cheapest blu ray player out there. s o people r gonna buy it!
Yup, Sony is top dog. They're going to be around forever and ever. You see, they create great formats which everyone will keep using and never discard. Like Betamax, Minidisc and memory sticks... oh wait... Well, atleast they'll never have a bad fiscal in which they show a 94% loss in profits... oh wait... Shut up! Sony's frickin' awesome, okay? They know what they're doing! I'm not just a fanboy, they're awesome and don't debate it, disregard all evidence against it!
And let me guess, Sony makes the best 'cmpters', too? English class FTW there man. You're not making your argument any better by omitting half of the vowels in your sentence and forgetting about punctuation such as a comma.
Sony definitely doesn't know what they're doing, they just do what the other guy does.
Sony: "Look at our new PS3! It's the same exact style of play!" Nintendo: "Here's the Wii, we actually have innovative ideas and change the way gaming is handled. Here are our nifty controllers." Sony: "Uhhhh...uhhh... yeah... we have those, too!"
Sony just takes the same product they have and then try to make it prettier. They really aren't on the forefront with any new technology, and rarely innovate. The only reason the PS3 will do so well is because of the game selection over that of the Wii.
Wii will be everybodies secondary console, and alot of peoples primary. people are under estimating it, and while its recently gained alot of hype it will be the number 1 selling console, while not the number 1 most played. sony will be lucky to grab some of its more ignorant fanboys. and 360 will continue to to rise and get good games.
Heck, it could be a good thing for sure. Goodness knows some gamers I know could use a bit more of a workout. At least, the gamers not totally into DDR. :)
Wii's slogan: Diet doesn't work? Pills don't work? Are you having fun working out? Buy a wii and with regular game play, you can lose up to 20 pounds in 3 weeks while having fun!!!!!!
hey i luv PS3 but my bro keeps fighting that the XBOX 360 is betta, how cn i convince him? cn u send me all kinds of facts for PS3 compaired Xbox 360, cus i wnt 2 beat him. !!!I LUV THE PS3!!!
ya lol. then some kid swings the controler into a vase or someones head. that would be funny. im waiting for that to happen. but ya the wii could tire sum peoples arm out especially in a sport game or sum. lol
The remote has a wrist strap for a reason, you know. :P
Arm-tiredness doesn't seem to be an issue; videos online of people playing Wii for hours show people saying that they didn't feel tired/sore/etc. Besides, if you do end up feeling tired, it's probably a sign that you should be hitting the gym instead of playing video games.
the ps3 is alot smaller than i thought it would be: obviously bigger than the 360, but not the lumbering giant it was first depicted to be (and WAY better than the original xbox in size). the wii is just amazing: that technology can be crammed so small...with alot of good games for ps3, it could do REALLY well; it has the capacity for great gaming, now it just needs to opportunity to show it.
thw wii is just a gamecube with a new controller . so its small size is not a big deal. the big deal is that sony has fitted a blu-ray player an awesome computer and the psu (x box 360 power brick lol ) into something which is not as big as projected by the media
PS3 - a small desktop in a console case, produces better graphics 360 - made it's mark, now has to rely on its games and HD player Wii - innovative, simple, does what a console is made to; entertain.
I think the Wii is going to get better sales then the PS3 over the Holidays, not many parents are going to toss down $500 - 600 for one kid, but as for the fans, I'm sure they would readily give their soul in addition to the price.
the HDdvd player is a friggin gimmick, and it will have no effect on xbox's success. the 360 will live because of Microsoft's deep pockets. same with the Zune. It will be force fed to us, whether you like it or not.
all I HAve to say is Zelda and the Wii just won lol Zelda is perty much all sold out and the game that every one has been waiting for the past 3 years i have never even played a zelda game but i think i am going to jump in get it
Could any of u guys who's unpacked a Wii tell me the voltage capacity of the unit or it's PSU? Whether it supports 110V-230V or not. I'm importing one, so I'd like to know whether I'll need one of those expensive transformators or just a plug adaptor. Thanks!
I think by this point, each console has it's own loyal fanbase. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all have games exclusive to their console, and that is what ultimately drives sales.
The Wii is a great size (unless it has a massive external power transformer), but that is apt given that it has comparatively fewer capabilities. I expect it will do well over the holiday season but eventually be a second device for hard core gamers. The PS3 will land with a big splash in Japan, a noisy but mild entry in the US, but eventually build on the PS2 fanbase, maybe to be the leading platform in 1-2 years. Some clued consumers may pick up the entry-level model for the blu-ray drive and eventually become gaming fans. Xbox360 lacks the depth of games of the PS3, and although Halo3 is obviously around the corner this device will become more of a media centre once Vista is established, e.g. within a year, and especially if Microsoft gives peeps a way to either easily convert video to WMV or, more sensibly, play other video formats (or e.g. AVIs from their digital cameras). Hopefully in 3-6 months the news media will come to their senses and start asking 'is that all?' - the quality of graphics might have gone up, but the level of detail and physics engines will look poor within a year or two, given gains being made in PC graphics. I expect that PCs will continue to dominate for gaming enthusiasts: the fact that you only need one platform, and that it can serve multiple functions (games, media, work, etc.) is the key issue. Meantime, I expect a flurry of stories about retro gaming: Xbox 1s and PS2s for $50 and cheap games.
Comes down to 1 thing and 1 thing only. The games. How fast or how featureful a system is doesn't matter in the end. If its games are fun it is great. For me I need my Halo 3 so 360 gets my vote. Since its games its gonna be all opinion.
Sorry guys but you arent going to be seeing any geeks getting to tired playing with their wii wii's. Those kids already have pretty built up right arms.
We can't pass judgement yet. We'll just have to wait and see when all are released.
Even then, you can't really make generalizations about which is the best, worst, etc.
The 360, PS3, and Wii are good and bad in their own ways. There is not truly best, it is only how the person perceives it to be. The Wii is for the younger gamers who wants something that won't burn their pockets. 360 are for the mid gamers who don't want too much, but don't want to lose too much either. The PS3 are for the high gamers who have the ability and willingness to buy the game to them, Quality is the priority.
If I had the money, I would buy all three, but I don't have that kind of money. Besides in a number of years, these consoles will become obsolete and replaced by far more powerful ones beyond our imaginations.
The cycle goes over and over. A console is born, it rises to its glory, then it slowly declines, then is subjugated by a far more advanced and powerful console. It becomes a mere memory and is only played by a handful of hardcore and diehard fans.
That shot with all of them stacked is a little deceptive, because you can't see (or it was removed) the 360s hard drive. In the other shots its there, but with the direct shot its not.
Like most of you, I've been trying to figure out this console war for a long time. Some people say, "sony is screwing themselves with such a high price and short supply" or that "Wii will be too novel and the graphics won't last through the generation." They are good points, but I can't tell if they will be such a hindrance. I personally think the 360 will be the best selling (no bias I want a Wii) because of it's inherent middle ground and strong games. I wouldn't be surprised if (with the Wii's appeal and the ps3's initial shortage and high price) the generation is a little more even in the end then the last. I don't see one major dominator.
“Not every feature made the transition to Slim, but gauging the severity of the cuts depends on how far back in the PS3 classic's timeline you want to go.”

Choose Xbox 360
i think you must probably choose wii or xbox360 .

dude go on youtube and type in PS3 song
I vote for the Wii
:)
It`s WAY better than the others... xD
hey, you are right .
Wii = fail.

I own a Wii & a Xbox I just bought the Xbox 360 and I only have Rockband for it & I only use my Wii to go on the internet. My vote is Xbox 360
hi! i think wii is better we could move while we play in xbox and playstation we just sitdown and play . i think wii is better. what do you think . www.arun5.piczo.com
Wow that wii wii is tiny.
damn... the wee is soooooo tiny compared to the ps3.
The Wii will Kill any opposition. Don't Defy the immense power of NINTENDO. Wii will kick all opponents butts.
ALL HAIL THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!
It's still shocking to see how small the Wii is...
nice systems. should be intresting when the ps3 and the wii are released globaly. then the real debate starts.
Observation: The bigger consoles are the most expensive consoles. Wii is the smallest and cheapest. With that said, I can't wait to play with my Wii Wii!
ps3 is going to be pretty freakin awesome when it comes out!!
Wow, look at that, your comments are the lowest ranked, why, because there are assholes who also post in this blog. PS3 is going to be the best system, I do like Nintendo, however, I do not want to play games with that remote, and I like the standard controllers. I have an Xbox360 and it sucks, I preordered a PS3, and I am only going to get the Wii when Super Smash Brothers: Brawl comes out.
akkkkk...wrong xbox360 is the correct answer
Wii will destroy all
I have all 3 and the wii is the most fun(at least Zelda and exitebike are) Hoever Gears of war is on a whole new level. PS3 Blu Ray is good for my dvd's
the Wii is good but it's not great.
Ya you are so right the wii is so ganna bet them all
I'm voting for the PS3
the wii will be fun but i think it owuld just get boring. yea swinging it around could be cool but it would be tiring. plus doesnt the wii have no dvd player built in??
"swinging it around could be cool but it would be tiring"
Wow, what kind of condition are we in if a video game can wear us out? ;) Sorry, couldn't resist. I have these mental pictures of sweaty people swinging that little wii controller, panting, and dumping cups of water over their heads as they play an intense round of tennis in front of a 50" LCD.
it can play DVDs.
the current wii can't play DVD's because they were trying to get a ton of them out the door for the holiday season at a low price. Next year a DVD playing wii will be released. But seriously, everyone already has a DVD player somewhere in their house. And if not, you can get one for like 40 bucks, and it'll still be cheaper than any other console. So please pick any other inadequacy for the wii to rag on, because that one is pretty weak
does the ps3 have a built in PSU?
yes it does have an inbuilt pdu which is why it is bigger than other consoles.
god I really hope that was sarcasm. If you look at previous set of pics from when the wii was unboxed, you can see it has a power supply that is equally huge on proportion to its console as the 360's power brick is. The power supply is NOT built in.
Ryan Block, you are a fortunate man.
You know, I think you might be right!
My predictions:
Wii - Will do very good at launch, but then slow down a little in sales after about a year.
360 - Will be the middle man. Not selling the most, yet not selling the least.
PS3 - Will do horrible at launch, but after a year or so will probably take the lead.
Which would make me an average "gamer" by industry analysts.
like you said the wii will stop being both because every family in the world will have one
The Wii is goign to kill these other 2 systems just get back to me in a couple of months when the numbers will be off the roof with this tiny thing
ya no shit. mr. block is the man. he gets all the hottest next gen gming systems b4 everyone. and gets to test them etc...plus hes great at what he does, iv been following engadget for a long time and ya hes good at reviewing products!! o and great work at keepin us updated on the ps3 and wii
no way. i agree with you on the others but ps3 is already immpossible to get for the holiday season. eb games has 200 more orders to fufill..people are camping outside..i knw i am...its going to sell. alot.. if the numbers are true what sony says by 2m units by the enf of 2006. they will sell everyone..plus its the cheapest blu ray player out there. s o people r gonna buy it!
plus sony has been the leader for ten years. they are hardly screw ups. they knw what they r doing!!
im pretty shure sony had problems with their ps2 and ps1 launches...
Same was true of Atari. Then of Nintendo. Then of Sega. Nobody stays on top for more than two generations.
I guess kids like you have short memories.
I'm not just a fanboy, they're awesome and don't debate it, disregard all evidence against it!
plus sony has been the leader for ten years. they are hardly screw ups. they knw what they r doing!!
It's the same exact style of play!"
Nintendo: "Here's the Wii, we actually have innovative ideas and change the way gaming is handled. Here are our nifty controllers."
Sony: "Uhhhh...uhhh... yeah... we have those, too!"
Sony just takes the same product they have and then try to make it prettier. They really aren't on the forefront with any new technology, and rarely innovate. The only reason the PS3 will do so well is because of the game selection over that of the Wii.
Sony hardly screws up? haha ;) good one
Just look at the P!nk memory card and psp.
Wii will be everybodies secondary console, and alot of peoples primary. people are under estimating it, and while its recently gained alot of hype it will be the number 1 selling console, while not the number 1 most played. sony will be lucky to grab some of its more ignorant fanboys. and 360 will continue to to rise and get good games.
lol, I was thinking the same thing, damn lazy kids...
Halo.
Heck, it could be a good thing for sure. Goodness knows some gamers I know could use a bit more of a workout. At least, the gamers not totally into DDR. :)
lol, i can see that to
Wii's slogan: Diet doesn't work? Pills don't work? Are you having fun working out? Buy a wii and with regular game play, you can lose up to 20 pounds in 3 weeks while having fun!!!!!!
ps3 rocks
hey i luv PS3 but my bro keeps fighting that the XBOX 360 is betta, how cn i convince him? cn u send me all kinds of facts for PS3 compaired Xbox 360, cus i wnt 2 beat him.
Hrm... pretend to throw a football in Madden 07 on Wii... or play football with my friends outside...
Hmm... Sitting around typing to unknown people or go out and talk with my friends.
the ps3 is alot smaller than i thought it would be: obviously bigger than the 360, but not the lumbering giant it was first depicted to be (and WAY better than the original xbox in size). the wii is just amazing: that technology can be crammed so small...with alot of good games for ps3, it could do REALLY well; it has the capacity for great gaming, now it just needs to opportunity to show it.
thw wii is just a gamecube with a new controller . so its small size is not a big deal. the big deal is that sony has fitted a blu-ray player an awesome computer and the psu (x box 360 power brick lol )
into something which is not as big as projected by the media
no the PS3 ends having pretty much the same dimensions as the original xbox but PS3s sleeker
agree. the wii is like no other
The Wii is small, but lacks any style. Reminds me of an external disk drive.
The PS3 looks clunky, and reminds me of the ps2.
The Xbox 360 is unique and has a form of its own.
I have read the PS3 is more appealing in person, but only seeing these pictures, my vote goes to the 360.
PS3 - a small desktop in a console case, produces better graphics
360 - made it's mark, now has to rely on its games and HD player
Wii - innovative, simple, does what a console is made to; entertain.
It will be force fed to us, whether you like it or not.
exactly ...microsoft will comtinue funding this project . they will project it this failed product as a gr8 success
that Ryan ( not block) loves to post
I'm at 10 out of 28
all I HAve to say is Zelda and the Wii just won lol Zelda is perty much all sold out and the game that every one has been waiting for the past 3 years i have never even played a zelda game but i think i am going to jump in get it
i have played the games they are good if you like adventure.
Could any of u guys who's unpacked a Wii
tell me the voltage capacity of the unit or it's
PSU? Whether it supports 110V-230V or not.
I'm importing one, so I'd like to know whether I'll need
one of those expensive transformators or just a plug adaptor.
The lighting of the pictures just doesn't do the PlayStation 3 justice.
360 - unreliable, worst customer support ever.
Wii - Mainly aimed at kids, can't wait for zelda though.
PS3 - badass
Obvious Sony fan-boy.
All of the ps3's I've seen are black, weren't there supposed to be white and silver ones as well? Or did they decide only on black?
It's so small it should have been called "TinWii"
How long did it take to balance the Wii on top of the curved surface of the PS3?
Comes down to 1 thing and 1 thing only. The games. How fast or how featureful a system is doesn't matter in the end. If its games are fun it is great. For me I need my Halo 3 so 360 gets my vote. Since its games its gonna be all opinion.
I will be buying me a PS3 as soon as they are in stock after the mad holiday rush, the thing looks like the monalith from 2001 in those pictures
Cant wait to play Assassin's Creed and Resistance on my 50" sony plasma
I might buy the 360 just to play Gears of War then sell it on ebay or to gamestop after im done since it's case is so fugly
Since the Wii is geared to younger kids i will probably also buy the Wii for my friend's daughter since it is so cute and tiny
lucky bastard !
:P
Final round of comparison pics should show everything you get with each console.
Of course PS3 will sell out there are only 5 of them coming to america and 2 of them will break ;P
